I liked Rogue One a lot. It brought home the brutality and the sacrifices involved in fighting the Empire. Also, it shed some light on the internal politics at the highest levels of the Empire.
Some of the visuals were stunning. Ramming into the star destroyer was nice touch. Also, the massive explosions caused by the Death Star firing at low power were beautiful.
All the good guys dying by the end of the movie was unusual. It had no disturbingly poor dialogue. Seeing Darth Vader off duty in the bacta tank was interesting.

Yeah ... I liked it a lot, but yes the ending was a shocker.
