Explain in your own words how to play

Charade is a fun game played among two persons or teams; it requires acting, body movement, gestures and the use of signs to describe a thing, emotion, animal or action. In this game no talking or whispering.

Firstly, The word I used in the game was written on a piece of paper with a pen, I used simple words that were appropriate for the kid's age; the words were mixed up of animals, action words and emotions. I folded the pieces of paper and put them into a hat so the words would not be revealed until the kid opened it.

Secondly, the kids or team members had to take turns picking a piece of paper from the hat and act whatever was written on the piece of paper he or she picked, imitating what was written on the piece of paper.

Next, the other kid tries to guess what the actor is acting and shouts out the guess when he or she gets it. If he or she gets it right, the kid acting uses a gesture of nodding to say yes or no. And the used piece of paper is discarded.

A time limit should be set for each turn to make it engaging; if the time elapses, the kid guessing will not get a point, but if he or she gets it right, he or she gets a point.

After that, the next kid or team takes the next turn to play. Picking a new piece of paper from the hat. At the end of the game, the kid or team with the highest points is the winner.

How did you feel playing, was it fun?

Yes, it was fun playing the game. I enjoyed the game, and so did the kids; they were happy acting, especially like animals with their body movements and expressions. I was surprised to see them act and imitate in a way that one would understand. Although the younger kid was a bit confused when the game began at some point, he wanted to give up, telling me he didn't know such words on the piece of paper when I helped him buy, whispering the word into his ears so his opponent doesn't get to hear and he acted well. So he became happy And continued with the game. He began enjoying the game, gained confidence and acted without asking me to help him with the word on the piece of paper anymore.

Which mime was the easiest for the child to imitate and which was the most difficult?

Dancing mime was the easiest one for them as most kids love to dance so the dance acting was done with fun and easily. The alligator was the most difficult one to imitate; the kid guessing made lots of guessing and could not still get it because the actor was not getting proper acting for it, although the kid guessing was close to mentioning crocodiles. It was fun as it made them think, widen their imaginations and be creative in acting.
