We don't usually see these at the lake.

In all my years here and all my time spent at the lake, I can't ever recall seeing one of these. We saw it swim by while fishing the other day.... what do you think it is?

A white Pelican. Well, I don't know if they are unusual for your region, but they are quiet common in southern states in the US. You wouldn't believe how big of a fish they can swallow - whole as always - its amazing. If they are used to people they can get pretty friendly. Even more so if you give them some fish. :)
Usually they live in groups, not solitary.

My guess is a pelican too! What a cool sight to see. Hopefully it found a yummy meal.

That is weird! He's a bit far from home I'd say.

Hey, that's our Pelican and because winter is approaching here in South Africa, he decided to visit your neck of the woods hahaha.
Blessings and take care!
