I will take you on a journey into my past and we will visit many places in Greece together. I lived in Greece for 16 years until the end of 2020 and was able to take many beautiful pictures there.

I will always attempt to post the exact Google Map link to where the picture taken.This way, you can also see on the map page exactly where we were when the picture taken.

It looks like I will be lucky enough to live in Greece again in May. Then I will also publish current pictures.

I hope you enjoy the journey through Greece, where I will gladly take you along a bit every day.

Boat broke loose from anchor ;(

I had already indicated a few days ago that the boat did not give us much pleasure. First we got caught in a big storm where almost our last hour came. Then just a few days later we took our friends to the airport in Patras and when we came back they told us that our boat had torn itself from the anchor. I feared the worst and thought that our boat would surely have sunk. Well, it was a stupid thing to do, but the boat was insured for 20,000 € in case of loss or total loss. So I had paid 15,000 and thought, since I don't have any friends in the thing anyway, the good Lord had made sure that I would assign it to Poseidon and the insurance company would then send me a cheque.

The operators of the holiday resort where we have our base station noticed the drama and the employee there had to swim to the boat with a line and then the boat was pulled ashore with their tractor. They really meant well for us, but actually I would have preferred it if the boat had drifted all the way to Egypt or paid a visit to the sea gods.

But there was nothing we could do and a few days later we put it back into the sea and immediately onto the trailer. It was then put in a secluded corner of the grounds and not looked at again for 2 years. After 2 years, some people were interested in buying the boat from us and we tried to put it in the water again to test drive it with the potential buyers. But how could it be otherwise, again Poseidon was not well disposed towards us - but that's another story - which you can read here on my blog one day. So subscribe to me and keep an eye on what I write and maybe you'll like one or two stories from the 16 years we spent in Greece.

At first sight I couldn't see any damage, but there really was a hairline crack.

Junior found it quite amusing :)

Madame was once again not at all interested in what had happened there.

Ich werde Sie auf eine Reise in meine Vergangenheit mitnehmen und wir werden gemeinsam viele Orte in Griechenland besuchen. Ich habe 16 Jahre lang bis Ende 2020 in Griechenland gelebt und konnte dort viele schöne Bilder machen.

Ich werde immer versuchen, den genauen Google Map Link zum Aufnahmeort zu posten, so dass Sie auch auf der Kartenseite genau sehen können, wo wir waren, als das Bild aufgenommen wurde.

So wie es aussieht, werde ich im Mai wieder das Glück haben, in Griechenland zu leben. Dann werde ich auch aktuelle Bilder veröffentlichen.

Ich wünsche Ihnen viel Spaß bei der Reise durch Griechenland, bei der ich Sie gerne jeden Tag ein bisschen mitnehmen werde.

Boot löste sich von Anker ;(

ich hatte vor einigen Tagen schon angedeutet, dass uns das Boot nicht viel Freude bereitet hat. Erst sind wir in einen großen Sturm geraten, wo fast unsere letzte Stunde gekommen ist. Dann nur wenige Tage später haben wir unsere Freunde zum Flughafen nach Patras gebracht und als wir zurückgekommen sind, erzählte man und dass sich unser Boot vom Anker gerissen hatte. Ich befürchtet das schlimmste und dachte das unser Boot nun ganz sicher untergegangen wäre. Na ja, blöde Sache eigentlich, aber das Bot war auf 20.000 € versichert bei Verlust oder Totalschaden. Also ich hatte 15.000 bezahlt und dachte schon, da ich sowieso keine Freunde an dem Ding habe, hat der liebe Gott dafür gesorgt, dass ich es an Poseidon abtrete und mir die Versicherung dann einen Scheck zuschickt.

Die Betreiber der Ferienanlage, wo wir unsere Basisstation haben bekamen das Drama mit und der dortige angestellte musste, zu dem Boot mit einer Leine schwimmen und dann wurde das Boot mit deren Traktor an Land gezogen. Man meinte es richtig gut mit uns, aber eigentlich wäre es mir lieber gewesen, wenn das Bot bis nach Ägypten getrieben wäre oder den Meeresgöttern einen Besuch abgestattet hätte.

Aber da konnte man jedoch nichts mehr machen und einige Tage später sogen wir es dann wieder ins Meer und sogleich dann auf den Trailer. Dieser wurde dann in einer abgelegenen Ecke auf dem Gelände hingestellt und 2 Jahre keines Blickes mehr gewürdigt. Nach 2 Jahren hatten einige Interesse daran, uns das Boot abzukaufen und wir versuchten es dann noch einmal ins Wasser zu lassen, um mit den Kaufinteressenten eine Probefahrt zu machen. Aber wie sollte es anderes kommen, auch hier war Poseidon uns nicht gut gesonnen - aber das ist eine andere Geschichte - die ihr hier auf meinen Blog eines Tages lesen könnt. Also abonniert mich und schaut immer einmal, was ich so schreibe und vielleicht gefällt euch ja die ein oder andere Geschichte aus den 16 Jahren, die wir in Griechenland verbracht haben.

auf den ersten Blick konnte ich keine Beschädigung erkennen, allerdings gab es wirklich einen Haarriss
