I will take you on a journey into my past, and we will visit many places in Greece together. I lived in Greece for 16 years until the end of 2020 and was able to take many beautiful pictures there.
I will always attempt to publish the exact Google Map link to the place where the picture was taken. This way, you can also see on the map page exactly where the picture was taken.
It looks like I will be lucky enough to live in Greece again in May. Then I will also publish current pictures.
I hope you enjoy the journey through Greece, where I will gladly take you along a bit every day.
A day at the beach
In the first years we spent in Greece, we went to the beach more or less every day from May to the end of August. Either at a beach near our base camp, which we visited with our rubber dinghy, or a few kilometers away, where we drove with our old off-road vehicles. We also had a larger motorboat for a few years, which we used to visit distant beaches.
This way we could always reach beaches that we had all to ourselves. Some of them were kilometer long beaches, just for our small family. Here you could also swim naked because that is not very popular in Greece. But when you have the beach all to yourself, sometimes in bays that you could only reach with a boat, you can also lie down in the sand, just like God created you :)
You can certainly imagine how dark brown we were after a few weeks, after lying in the sun every day. They were really great years that we were allowed to spend in Greece. Since our son was a free learner and didn't have to go to school, we were very close together and could do everything together and were also very closely connected as a family. I am also truly grateful that I was able to witness how my son grew up. Those were also the best years of my life!
