Hello, everyone.
I welcome you all to my blog, I recalled struggling to find guidelines on how to perform certain things. Every time I need to do some markdown like how to *bold text or how to centralized a text on Steemit, I used Google.
I know some newbie will be facing the same issue right now, so I decided to write about some markdown styles and how to go about it.
I hope you find this information useful.
How To Make Headlines
When writing an article, headers and sub-headlines are particularly important features to consider because they display the structure of your content and guide the reader's eye.
This can be done by inserting symbol #
at the start of the text or sentence. As the number of #
symbol increases the size of the text or sentences decreases.
Example;
Header 1
Header 2
Header 3
Header 4
Header 5
This code was used to make the above markdown:
# Header 1
## Header 2
### Header 3
#### Header 4
##### Header 5
How to Justify Text
Justify your text will make your articles unique, easy to read and not to forget it will make the content neat.
When you apply a text-justify command to your content, space is inserted between words so that both margins are aligned on every line.
How to Justify a text <div class="text-justify">
Input the text and end it with </div>
Example;
Before justifying my texts 👇
Steemit is a decentralized social media, which allow users to earn money for sharing quality and original contents.
After justifying my texts 👇
You can see the difference, Text-justify made my content neat and easy to read
How To Create a Table
Incase you want to make a difference or similarities between two things, making use of a table will be the best thing to do.
*Creating a Table
Header 1 | Header 2
------ | ------
Cell 1 | Cell 2
Cell 3 | Cell 4
Result 👇
Header 1 | Header 2 |
---|---|
Cell 1 | Cell 2 |
Cell 3 | Cell 4 |
How To Centralized a Text or Sentence
It's also a good idea to center a text in your content to make it look more presentable.

How To Make a Bold or Italic Text
If you want to highlight some certain text or sentence, you can decide to make the text bold or Italic this will help the reader to understand your content better.
How to make a bold text
To Make a text or sentence bold, just add two (2) **
at the beginning and the end of the text or sentence
Example;
**Steemit is decentralized social media**
The Result 👇
Steemit is decentralized social media
How to make an Italic Text

at the beginning and the end of the text or sentence

How To Add Source or Link to an Image of Text
If you are using an image or text or quote you downloaded online, you need to add the source or link this is to avoid plaigiraism and gives credit to the real owner.
Example; I downloaded this image online
You can clearly see that my content is not attractive, I can easily add this markdown style to make it more attractive 'Image source`
The Result 👇
You can see how this one is quite different from the other one, it makes my work attractive and presentable.
Adding Quotation
While writing your content, you might decide to borrow someone's else work, to avoid plaigiraism you need to properly quote the source where you copied from.
How to quote a text or source
You need to add the symbol >
at the beginning of the text or the source
Example;
Let say, I want to quote one of the most famous quotes I copied online, to avoid direct pliagrism I will have to quote it. Below is how I quoted it 👇
>The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.
The Result 👇
The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.
You can as well add the source link underneath the the text quote.
Example; >The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.
[Source Name](link)
The Result 👇
The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.
Source Name

I just hope that with this post you bring to our attention most of the users can improve their posts, since there are many users who publish and do not justify their posts with the markdown format.
Many are advised to improve their posts, but they ignore it.
