As a result of our behaviours at work, at home, and on the street, we are continually evaluated and criticised by others around us, in other words, we are condemned. However, even though we are accountable for ourselves and can find ourselves in stressful situations, even when we do not deserve a second of attention, our most able behaviour is only subjected to harsh criticism from people in our immediate vicinity.
Because the extent to which we are affected by these criticisms and accusations is directly proportional to the amount of importance we place on them, we should not be surprised if we receive harsh remarks from family members, coworkers, spouses, or strangers.
The presence of those who tell us what we can and cannot do, who constantly issue directives to us, and who want to change us by refusing to accept who we are will continue to exist in all facets of our lives. How much we are affected by unfavourable discourses will be determined only by our interpretation of events and the people we choose to be in our immediate environment.
So, what can you do to avoid having a negative impact on individuals around you that will negatively impact your life?
Because we believe that maintaining control over one's life and remaining as unaffected by unfair criticism as possible is important, we've compiled ten suggestions that we believe will assist you in doing so.
Don't waste your time attempting to persuade others that they misinterpreted what you were trying to communicate. By demonstrating that you do not waste time on needless discussions, you may demonstrate your intelligence and worth.
It is possible to approach things in a positive manner. Make a decision based on your research. Attempt to maintain a positive view on everything that occurs in your environment, and stay away from negative people as much as possible.
It is via the relics of our past mistakes that we are reminded of the reality of the past and how little we have progressed. Every prior error creates a trail that can be followed to piece together a storey. Please feel free to share and own these stories with pride in your own words.
Both strength and knowledge can only be gained via the willingness to make mistakes. It is not necessary to be afraid of new starts and experiences. It's important to remember that no one is perfect in the beginning of their life. Learning is a process that takes place through a process of trial and error.
All you have to do today is strive to be a better version of yourself than you were yesterday. You should stop comparing yourself to others and base your judgments on what other people think. You are the only one to whom you must prove your worth. No one else is interested.
No one has the right to do verbal or bodily harm to another person, regardless of the motivation for doing so. Many people look for opportunities to exploit the shortcomings of others in order to boost their ego. Allowing these individuals to interfere with your life is not a wise decision.
The best friends are those who accept you for who you are while also encouraging you to develop as a person. Allow yourself to always be a genuine friend to those around you, because you only have a limited number of such people to choose from.
If someone has ever lied to you, it is their responsibility. If the same person tries to deceive you a second time, it is your responsibility to recognise and report the incident. Never remain silent in the face of someone who is trying to make a fool of yourself or deceive you. It is inherent in some people's dispositions that they are prone to lying over and over again and persuade you that the lies are true. Make a note of your interactions with people who lie to you to make sure that you don't grow desensitised to lying and that the act of lying doesn't become commonplace.
