The porcelain frog in the kitchen counter started talking to me as geometric patterns of all colors flowed out of his tongue. "This is not a dream, you know?" I'm pretty sure I opened my eyes wide. This is not a dream. "What are you talking about?" I said. "I know this is not a dream. This is me going insane."

Triangles within circles within squares in fluorescent rainbows turned into a swirling cornucopy that seemed to have its own gravity. I felt myself sliding down the inside of a bright pearly snail's shell to find myself back in front of the frog. "This is not a dream. Believe me. You just happened to cross over to a different reality". What did he mean? A different reality. One where we ear smells and see sounds and our vision smells of flowers? A reality where the illusion of vertigo is everywhere?

"No, man!" I told the frog: "What I just crossed over was into insanity. Look," I pointed at a giant butterfly landing in the tip of my toe, "can this ever be real? I don't believe you." The wing nut started to swirl and there I was again, sliding, this time through a caleidoscopic tube. I travelled for a long time across a landscape of colors that turned into forests and then into mountain tops and finally, felt the buttery feel of being all oiled up as I went up and down a rainbow into a beautiful cove where a waterfall dropped into the ocean.

I opened my eyes and realized that Tony had just opened the tap on the kitchen sink and ruined my trip through the most beautiful alternate reality I've ever visited. You know... I rather think that, than that I was going insane and starting to speak with the furniture...
