Water and Evaporation - An experiment

in hive-107855 •  3 months ago

A long time ago, I was driving a reefer truck. A refrigerated hauler of temperature controlled goods, usually food.

The truck trailer had to be washed out after hauling a load of loose potatoes or onions.

The next pickup required that the truck interior be clean and dry. I was about to leave for the pickup and I opened doors to the trailer and even though I spent the night in a truck stop. The whole inside of the trailer was soaking wet.

So what I did was move the truck to where the shone into the trailer. Within a few minutes, the trailer was completely dry from the sunlight.

I learned something I really never thought about: evaporation is caused by sunlight. More precisely, photon energy enters a water molecule and the energy causes a change in the state of the water molecule.

For example, the water barrels I keep in the basement loose almost zero water and they are in the dark. Two of the barrels have no lids and they do not loose water to evaporation either. If they do, it is a minimal unnoticeable amount.

Yesterday I covered this tub and it was not covered all the way. Now I come out here and look and there is still the same amount of water in the tub.

That's good. Now I can pour the water on some plants. And they should live through the summer drought. It won't be much but some is better than none.

Again, shaded water cisterns hold the water better than cisterns exposed to sunlight.

With no clouds over land, the danger increases because the land dries out.

When a fire occurs, it spreads across dry land. It spreads fast. The fire grows to a huge size. The fire consumes property be it the people's or private.

Now as of late, I noticed that twice so far this summer, on clear days, there was evaporation over lakes, ponds, forests over large areas.

Now we have already established that evaporation occurs in sunlight and yet the water was under open clear sunny sky.

Therefore, a device of some sort caused the water to cease the natural evaporation that occurs in sunlight.

The lakes were too big to cover therefore something unnatural occurred.

I posit, the D.A.D.A.D.S., Whirlwinds of Chaos, Evil light towers of drought.

The reason this is written is that when natural evaporation stops, the posit in the paragraph above is the source.

Therefore when natural processes such as evaporation of water return, the above posited is missing, inoperative, moved, or destroyed.

Now four dams have been removed from the Klamath River in Oregon in order to allow salmon to breed on the river and it's tributaries naturally.

Why this bad:

  1. Evaporation waters the surrounding forests. Which greatly reduce global warming.
  2. In the event of fire, there will be no cisterns from which to draw water.
  3. The dams had salmon ladders.
  4. The dams provided an abundance of fish for salmon to eat.
  5. There are many benefits of dams I do not wish to list such as the ability to grow vast amounts of food by aquaculture.

What should have been done:

Salmon fisheries, like catfish ponds in the south could have been made to coexist with natural streams feeding the Klamath river the dams. This would greatly increase the number of salmon, provide jobs, enhance food supply, and still be natural, but man made.

The aquaculture growth of fish and as agriculture industry is profitable and one gets to eat the fish with tasty sauces, a dash of lemon.

Sadly, the American Bar Association like many technologies knows nothing nor understands much of any of this.

Feast or famine, Rich or poor, Prosperous or enslaved in debt, as long as they make vast fortunes, do they care about what could happen or what could be?

Oh, I would also wish an electric eel on some people ;-))
