* Cooing And Wooing*

By riverside are cooing:A pair of turtledoves;A good young man is wooing
A fair maiden he loves.
Water flows left and right:Of cress long here. short there, The youth yearns day and night:For the good maiden fair
His yearning grows so strong,He can not fall asleep,But tosses all night long,
So deep in love, so deep!
Now gather left and right;Cress long or short and tender!O lute, play music bright
For the bride sweet and slender!
Feast friends at left and right:On cress cooked till tender!O bells and drums, delight
The bride so sweet and slender!

Hello and welcome to Dream Steem! You've just joined Steem: I'm sure there is a lot to explore and to learn...

Feel free to ask if there are questions or problems. We are the Community for fictional writing and poetry. I know, that there are magnificent chinese poems - I'm glad to read something of this origins. Of course it's important, that you are the creator of content. Did you write this poem yourself?

This is not a poem that I wrote myself, it is a poem that we have to read and recite by heart when we were very young

Okay, thank you. Please amend the post by adding this explanation as a source. Citing the author would be wonderful if you can find him...

For your blog on the Steem, however, it would be advantageous if you didn't recite other people's texts, but wrote your own: go for it! We all started once ;-))

Okay, I'll post a bid about my own ideas after that
