CONTEST: #story13 | Story of A Fake Ghost

Incidentally, the people of the town had been talking about a ghost for a few days. They felt that there was a ghost in their cemetery just outside the town. They discussed it with Aden and asked him to verify the truth about the ghost, as he was not scared of ghosts.

Aden was not comfortable with the idea, but he accepted the challenge and assured his friends that he would disclose the fake ghost of the cemetery.

So one night at 11.30, he came with his friends, asked them to wait outside the gate, and went inside. After half an hour, at the stroke of 12, his friends heard a loud scream from inside the cemetery and ran inside.

They found Aden sitting on the ground, screaming loudly. They went closer to him, and what they saw could not help but make them laugh aloud.

To be honest, the friends couldn't stop laughing because Aden was sitting on the ground, hiding his face between his legs and shaking with fear. It's not that friends don't feel any fear either. But first they stopped Aden's shaking and got him up. One friend asked him, "Aden our hero, why are you so scared? What did you see to make you so scared?". Aden pointed the index finger of his right hand in one direction of the cemetery and told him that he saw "someone run from that side with some noise". Hearing that, the friends pointed the flashlights in their hands towards it. But there was no one in that direction and they saw a long white flag used to decorate a grave. The friends again laughed loudly at him and said, "You are afraid of that white flag." But Aden knew he saw a very different picture. But Aden, who was already very scared, did not go to prove his friends wrong. He wanted to leave the place as soon as possible. Seeing Aden still shaking, his friends also stopped looking for the ghost and went to their respective homes with him.

It didn't take much time for the incident to spread throughout the city the next day. Everyone was talking about Aden, who said he was not afraid of ghosts, and was afraid of a white flag in the cemetery. Aden came to walk on the street in the evening and was the subject of everyone's jokes. Someone shouted in his ear and said, "Aden who said he was not afraid of a devil, why was he afraid of a flag?" Everyone laughed out loud. Aden looked down shyly and went back to his house without answering anyone because he had proudly told the others that he was not afraid of ghosts.

Because of this shame, Aden did not leave his house and go towards the city for several days. One day, Aden's best friend came to Aden's house to visit him because he hadn't seen Aden in a long time. Aden looked at his best friend with a very shy face. But the friend knew about this incident, so he did not show any difference to Aden. First, he asked about his health and gave the food parcel he had brought to Aden. The friend who was talking about general information, asked Aden about the incident that happened that day. There, Aden told his best friend that what he saw was not the white flag, but a completely different shadow. Hearing Aden's story, the friend insisted to come back to the cemetery with him tonight. Although there was some fear in Aden's mind, but he knew his best friend very well, so Aden did not think twice about going on this journey with him. And he also had a great desire to get rid of the shame that had happened to him.

So that night, Aden and his friend went to the cemetery with two flash lights. As the previous incident happened at around 12 midnight, they entered the cemetery at 12 midnight that day. Aden was very scared even though he didn't show it. They walked very slowly into the cemetery without making a sound. As the moon had risen well, they turned off the flash lights. As it was midnight, there was no sound around, and they started hearing a sound like someone snoring in his sleep. Aden was even more afraid.But his best friend held Aden's hand tightly and walked slowly towards the direction of the sound. They were walking towards the building where the coffins brought to the cemetery are temporarily stored, before they are buried. As he got closer to the building, Aden's best friend pointed his flashlight into the building. They were very surprised by what they saw in the light of the torch. Sleeping there was Ricky, the most famous crazy man in town.

Ricky was a crazy person and had no family or permanent place to stay. So this person used to sleep somewhere at night. So Aden quickly recognized that he had seen a shadow of a person like this the night before. Realizing that he was afraid of a living person and that living person spends the night in a cemetery without any fear, Aden felt ashamed of himself again.

Ricky was in deep sleep, so the flash light came out he did not wake up. So, Aden and his best friend find out who is the ghost that people have been afraid of and go back home. On the way, Aden thanked his best friend profusely. He also promised that he would never speak falsely again. The next morning this incident also spread very quickly throughout the city. So since then, no one ever made fun of Aden again. Aden and his best friend became the heroes of the town.
