The man assured the fairy that he would do so and thanked her before leaving. After returning home, he told his wife about his experiences and handed her the apple to eat. The woman happily ate that apple, trusting the Mermaid's word. She became pregnant as time passed. They were both pleased now as she was pregnant.

He provided all of the comforts she required. Slowly, the day of the child’s delivery approached. She was admitted to the paying ward, and as the fairy predicted, he gave birth to two boys that day. Both boys were in good health, and their parents were delighted to see them.

They were now adorable infants. They eat, drink happily, and were very active babies. However, they found that the kids were not attentive when they saw something. So they sought medical advice. The doctor found out that both of the kids were blind. When parents learned this heartbreaking news, they felt incredibly let down. They tried everything they could to cure their two children's vision, but it was all in vain.

However, they used the bale system to deliver quality education while bringing teachers to their homes. They grew up, learning everything, and becoming good boys with the love of their parents.

They were now absolutely attractive, wise, and handsome young boys. The boys have skin that is as radiant as God. If people could only see their stunning, brilliant eyes, no one would ever assume that they were blind. However, God did not give a man everything he needed; a gap still existed. Although everything was going smoothly, their parents were always in an unhappy mood, due to their children being blind.

They reached the age of eighteen. It was the time to take them to the fairy. But the parents were worried about what would happen. The mother was hesitant to bring her children there for fear of losing them. But, recalling his promise, the man wanted to bring them there. Anyhow, they both agreed and decided to bring their children closer to the fairy.

The next day, early morning they both went to the dense forest to meet the fairy. They noticed the fairy was waiting for them at the apple tree when they reached there. When the mother first saw the fairy, she cried and pleaded with her to give back her children. After forcing her to remain silent, the fairy inquired about their kids from the man. The father revealed to the fairy all of the abilities of his kids, including their blindness.

Then the fairy glanced at the handsome boys, she laughed and exclaimed, "I know, I know, that they both will be born blindly. That is why I told you to bring them to me.” Then both parents looked into each other's eyes, expressing their amazement and confusion.

The fairy quickly vanished and reappeared with an apple. She noticed, that it was a golden apple similar to the one she ate that day. The fairy walked up to the boy and offered him the golden apple to eat. Both of them eagerly ate it. As soon as they ate it, they got vision. They looked around and spotted the fairy, as well as a woman and a man. They were wise enough to identify their parent, and they both ran cheerfully to their parents and shared happiness, hugging each other. In the meantime, the fairy vanished, and then parents and kids returned to their home. They all lived happily ever after.

Great imagination, and a great story. I loved how you ended it on a happy note.

Thanks for reading any your lovely comment.

Interesting twist ;-))

I have read of cases where people born blind eventually got sight through later operations. It must be a very extraordinary experience to be exposed to...

No, It's just like the fairy's curse, which was imposed as punishment for plucking the apple against her permission

The parents never gave up on their children despite the challenges they faced. They provided them with the best education and care they could. And in the end, their faith and determination were rewarded when the fairy granted their children the gift of sight. You have written an excellent story. Good luck in the contest! 😊

Thanks for reading my post and your kind feedback.

A golden apple that could take the blindness away,, what a nice story of hope.
There is always hope for miracles. Some are just plain and others are made from gold.
Good luck with the contest and thank you, I might just take you up on the invite. (•ิ‿•ิ)

We have learned so far from our grandmothers and grandfathers that fairies perform miracles. Thank you for reading and leaving a lovely comment.

The pleasure is all mine! 🎕

What a great story! I loved how you achieved the narrative circularity with the apple being connected to the boys' blindness. Nicely done!
