Today I'm here to participate in this Steemit Engagement Challenge Season 10 Week 1 in the Steemit Crypto Academy. The topic of this challenge is "Bots In Steemit Chain. What is a voting bot in Steemit?

As we all know that Steemit is a decentralized social media platform which provides its users income in SBD which is in the form of vote. Usually the Steem curators and the booming service caste vote on the quality contents of users. Besides it the users are engage with one another by upvoting and commenting on their posts. Usually the quality posts are upvoted by the Steemit team.

When we talk about the voting bot, basically it is a automated voting service which upvotes the posts of users. Actually is a paid vote getting service. Before getting votes from the bots , the users pay them dollars, steem dollars and sometimes they delegate them their steem power to the account of bid-bots. Which is totally against the rules of Steemit.

The bid-bots don't have any concern about the quality of that contents whom they casting votes. They cast votes on that user's post From which they have taken money. This is unfair to the people who are making the quality contents.

How does a voting bot works on Steemit?

As I mentioned above the voting bot is a automated vote getting service which works on the preplanned manner. Before getting the automated voting bot service the users delegate them their sp or other cryptocurrency assets. Then they get votes from the bots. Usually the amount of votes depends upon the delegation that you have delegated before getting the votes. In this regard we can say that when a user delegate large amount of Sp or other assets then he will get a healthy vote (large amount). Some times he can gets votes several times in a week.

Before upvoting the posts the users set up the criteria of getting votes such as they use special tags, some special key words and and the value of the votes. Then the bot Scans and recognize the account who has paid for upvoting then it casts votes on that users posts. But when that post is not meeting the criteria which is planned then the bots Skip that post.

Basically getting getting votes from the bots is a type of investment because first you have to pay a large amount of your assets and then you are eligible for getting votes from the bots. But note that every bid-bot have different criteria of casting votes.

Is it worth using the bid-bots to get upvotes in Steemit?

Personally I consider it very wrong thing. It is true that getting votes from the bid-bots increase our reputation quickly and provide us more rewards but it is totally against the rules of the Steemit platform. It has so many drawbacks such as a user who gets votes from bots are unable to get support from the steem curators and the Steemit team. Besides this he can also be disqualified from the engagement challenges.

I'm totally against the bid-bots service. We can see that there are so many Steemians who are working very hard and struggling to get support from the steem curators, and after a lot of struggle and publishing quality contents they get support. But on the other hand the bid-bots users get support easily Because the bid-bots don't judge the quality of the contents. Which discourages that users.

Furthermore as I mentioned above that the bid-bots required money before giving support to users. So It means that a wealthy person can do everything he can gets gets more and more rewards. Due to this it is clearly seems that only money have power and the quality contents are useless???. Keeping at these things in my mind I can never eligible for doing such kind of acts.

Why are posts with bid-bot upvotes still downvoted on Steemit and why does Steemit still punishes it's users for upvoting with bots

For example when you are going against the rules and regulations of one's department or platform,then what will they do with you?? Yes surely they will punish you. Same like that Steemit is such a wonderful platform and it also has some rules and regulations. And the getting paid votes from the bots is totally against the rules of Steemit. That is why Steemit is discouraging and punishing the bid bot users.

It is also a rule of Steemit team that they doesn't support the bid-bots service users. This is because it is hazardous for the platform and also break the rules of that platform. Basically it is an act of injustice with the quality contents creators. The Steemit team has a mission of supporting quality contents and distribute rewards according to their quality of contents. So getting votes from the bots creates a sense of injustice and discouragement among the quality content creators. So that is why punishing the bid-bots users is very important and compulsory.

The use of bid-bots service also reduces the engagement between the users. This is because the bid-bots users uploads a post, gets rewards from the bots and then stays inactive till the expiration of their current reward. Overall they do zero engagement between the users. So that behavior is also against the rules of Steemit. So according to me due to these reasons the bid-bots users always punished.

How did Steemit team do to combat with bid-bots accounts?

The discouragement of bid-bots users is very important for keeping that platform authentic and more reliable. That is the reason that the Steemit team is always against the bid-bots users. The use bid-bots can cause so many problems for the Steemit team such as disturbance in the reward manipulation and in the reward pool. So Steemit team can take so many steps for the elimination of bid-bots users.

According to me for the discouragement of bid-bots users the Steemit team should never give them any important role on this platform such as community moderator, community Admin and the representative of any country. Besides it the Steemit team should never support any of their content.

The Steemit users can also take an active part in the discouragement of the bid-bots users. Being a Steemian whenever we see any of the bid-bots users account we should down vote them and also put a Flag on their posts. So that were some points through which we can discourage and eliminate the bid-bots users from this Steemit platform and can make it more authentic and trusty.

Advantages and disadvantages of voting bots on Steemit.

There are so many advantages and disadvantages of using voting bots on the Steemit platform. So let's discuss about them.

Advantages

• When a user gets the bid-bots service, it cause a rapid increase in the reputation of that users. And also gets more rewards as compared to other Steemians.

• Getting votes from the bots is a stress free tool because you have just upload a post without taking any tension about the quality of that post. Even with zero engagement with other Steemians you can get rewards.

• You can also get quick rewards from the bots because every thing is preplanned, you have just upload a post and get rewards.

Disadvantages

• The one of the biggest disadvantage of using bid-bots service is that , a bid-bots users can never gets reward from the steem curators.

• Such person shall never be entrusted with any such responsibility like community moderator, Admin or other responsibilities on this platform.

• A users who gets votes from the bots can never become a quality content creator. And he will always prefer to get votes from bots by publishing poor contents.
