In this post, I an highlighting a project that uses Non-fungible Token.
CRYPTOKITTIES
This is a blockchain based video or virtual game project that uses a Non-fungible Token. In this game, the players adopt their own virtual cats, raise them and they are allowed to trade these cats.
Cryptokitties is known as the first Decentralized application for leisure recreation, but it has been reported that in some cases some people have paid up to a hundred thousand dollars for a single cat.

CRYPTOKITTIES AS A NON-FUNGIBLE TOKEN (NFT) PROJECT
Cryptokitties is built on the Ethereum blockchain and they are ERC-721 tokens - ERC means 'Ethereum Request for Comments'.
ERC-721 is a Non-fungible Token, what this mean is that all its tokens are always unique and they are always verified in an independent way, without any third-party involvement.
In a more simple horizon, owning cryptokitties is like owning a mango tree, though there are many mango trees in the world, each is always unique no matter the level of resemblance, this is the same for cryptokitties and other Non-fungible Tokens (NFTs).
HOW DOES CRYPTOKITTIES WORK?
Appart from being a blockchain pinned project, Cryptokitties game uses a kind of algorithm that is similar to that of a real human DNA and this type of algorithm called 'Genetic Algorithm' makes each digital kitten, which is like a token for the owner to be unique from others as the information stored in the kitten's Genetic Algorithm determines how the kitten will look like.
HOW TO ACQUIRE THE NON-FUNGIBLE TOKEN OF CRYPTOKITTIES
Acquiring this sort of Non-fungible Token is quite an easy task most especially because of the fact that it is a game and nothing more is done other than breeding your own digital cat and after that, all you do is take care of it and you can now trade it latter.
To start this process, the user interface of the game is quite friendly and all you need to do is to get started by buying two cats from the store. You can still start with one but you will need to cooperate with someone to start breeding.
If you select the two unique virtual cats you want to breed, then you can start the process right away by just a push of one button and the egg will hatch.
From here, you can start your breeding and you can trade them later.
CONCLUSION
Cryptokitties game is a good money-making blockchain based project and to even make it better, it uses Non-fungible Token (NFT).
Breeding the virtual cats is not the only way of making money through the Cryptokitties game as you can also buy a kitten for a lower price and sell it at a higher price, thereby making profit.
