What do we expect from the competition?

During this competition, you will have the opportunity to demonstrate your knowledge and skills through five exciting challenges:

• Explain the importance of the Bitcoin genesis block and describe its contents. Discuss the message hidden in the genesis block and its impact on the birth of Bitcoin.

• Compare and contrast Ethereum's genesis block with Bitcoin's. What are the specific elements of the Ethereum genesis block, such as pre-funded accounts and smart contracts?

• Use a blockchain explorer to find details about Steem's genesis block. What are the main components and transactions in this block? Provide screenshots and links to the browser used.

• Compare the genesis blocks of Bitcoin, Ethereum and Steem in terms of goals, underlying technologies and communities.
  Practical Question: Creating a Genesis Block Guide

• Write a practical guide explaining how a newcomer can explore and understand the genesis block of a blockchain, using examples from Bitcoin, Ethereum and Steem.

Contest Guidelines

• This 1st week, will take place from July 15 to July 21, 2024.

• The article should be at minimum 500 words. You can write more. Your article must be free of any form of plagiarism.

• Your article title should be SEC S19-W2 || Exploring the Genesis Blocks . Add the tag #cryptoacademy-s19w2 and other relevant tags.

• Participants must be appropriately following #club5050 or #club75 or #club100.

• Participants must be verified and active users on the platform.

• The community moderators would be leaving quality assessments on your articles and probable upvotes.

• In addition, your article must get at least 10 upvotes and 5 valid comments to count as valid in the contest, so ensure you interact with other users' entries. Do not be involved in vote-buying.

Rewards

• SC01 would be checking on the entire 7 participating communities and upvoting outstanding content. Upvote is not guaranteed for all articles. Kindly take note.

• At the end of the week, we would nominate top 3 users that had performed well in the contest and they would be eligible for votes from SC01/SC02.
