Introduction
Greetings Steemians,
I trust you're in good health and have savored every aspect of this season's competitions. In brief, we are here today to present the report for our competition, spanning from October 2 to October 8, 2023, dedicated to the fifth week of the Steemit Engagement Challenge in this twelfth season. It concluded smoothly, marked by the members of the academy's exemplary professionalism, making it a success without any complications.
Within this report, we will provide a concise overview of all the statistics and feedback we gathered during this period concerning your involvement in the competition organized by the Steemit Crypto Academy community, which aimed to assess your knowledge.
The theme for the fifth week's contest was Slashing in Crypto, wherein our valued users were tasked with sharing their perspectives on the following topics:
Use your own words to define what is slashing in Crypto? And do all blockchains apply slashing?
Explain how slashing protects the blockchain, taking an example of a blockchain that applies it.
As a blockchain user, how can you avoid slashing?
Does the Steem blockchain apply this kind of punishment? If not, do you think slashing could be applicable in the first place (technically) and will it be beneficial?
What are the advantages and limitations of slashing?
We were delighted with the caliber of content in the entries we received. Among the participants, there were individuals who were new to our crypto competitions, and this initial challenge provided them with an opportunity to become familiar with our platform. We eagerly anticipate uncovering more talent in the upcoming seasons. Without any further delay, let's delve into the statistics and recognitions.
