Steemit Crypto Academy Contest Season9 Week5 [SUMMARY] - "Voting and Curation In Steem Blockchain"

Introduction

Hi Steemians,

I hope you are in good health and have enjoyed this season in all its competitions. In short, today we present to you the report of our competition which lasted from May 22 to May 28, 2023 which was devoted to the last week of this ninth season of the Steemit Engagement Challenge, which ended in harmony between the members of the academy successfully and without complications thanks to the professionalism they have shown throughout this period.

In this report, we will summarize all the statistics and feedback we have during this period regarding your participation in the competition organized by the Steemit Crypto Academy community which aimed to explore your knowledge of Voting and Curation .

As mentioned earlier, the theme of the ninth week contest was Voting and Curation In Steem Blockchain, and in which our dear users were asked to give their opinion on the following points:

• Explain in your own words what voting and curating mean for content in Steem, do they mean the same thing? Show the difference between the two terms.

• If we vote a content before 5 minutes or after 6 days 12 hours of its age in Steem Blockchain, will we have the same amount of reward as the other periods? Show how one checks the reward amount of a post that has returned to Steem Blockchain's reward pool?

• How can a curator earn more than 100% upvote value as curation rewards? Take any post you voted in Steem Blockchain and indicate the time and position of your vote, what is the projected curation reward?

• What is the role of curation in better content discovery in Steem Blockchain? Is self-voting beneficial for the reward system explain why?

Statistics of the Participation

A total of 19 entries were received throughout the contest period, no cases of plagiarism, but 2 entries was deemed invalid as one it exceeded the deadlines and the other it not verified the club status.

For the week we had 8 posts that landed in the excellent realm taking 42% of the total entries, then contest rating fell in the good category with a total of 26%, the category invalid took up 11% space and 21% belongs to the average contest content.

The first factor we embraced in the selection process is the quality of performance of the participants then followed by their interactions with other users in the contest.
