(1) WHAT ARE THE ECONOMIC & SOCIAL
RAMIFICATIONS OF SELF-UPVOTE IN STEEM BLOCKCHAIN?

As it is obvious that self upvotes is highly repugnated in the steemit eco system, as it has no moral justification for engaging in personal upvotes probably because one is in possession of high steem power. Below are some of the ramifications or consequence's of personal upvote.

1.It creates a social disincentive to vote on an individuals post. since it is the right of the community to vote for their participants, there is this frown on the
face of voters seeing that an individual has used his vested power to vote on himself instead of assisting others through voting on their post, hence it causes a disincentive to vote for that individual by other voters.

2.Since all votes does not really count just based on an individuals steem power on the zero layer at the Blockchain ecosystem, but his vested power which indicates the volume of the rshares he will be gaining from voting on a post, so with the system routine of voting, there is a very minimal expectation or returns from one voting on his post since the means of his vote was vested on him to vote for others.

3.it reduces the voting power of someone and still brings minimal returns to him. Because of selfish interest of most individuals, one may wait till his vested power for voting recycles and gets to the maximum so that he can up-vote himself with a high vested power, so even if the person votes himself there is still every tendency for him to get a minimal returns since he voted himself with his vested power and more especially his rshares will be very small if the amount voted on the post is at the minimum and staying in the linear level.

4.It does not increase your returns as compared to when you cast your vote on another person's post. Taking to a more practical Boxing world, no one would punch himself so hard as he could have punched another person or a fellow Boxer. So because of the convergent trend of the steemit voting system where multiple voters converges and votes on a post to make it a trending one, so its highly discouraging to up vote one self.

DO YOU GAIN BETTER CURATION REWARDS BY UPVOTING OTHERS AS COMPARED TO SELF-UPVOTE? (INCLUDE REAL EXAMPLES)

Yes I do gain gain a great deal returns when ever i vote on the post of others as compared to when I vote on my post and since I learnt that the steemit ecosystem frowns at personal and self upvoting, I stopped voting myself. Besides on the knowledge of this I then joined trails of different communities so as to earn more from people's posts. Let's see below at my curation on people's posts.

As we can see through the screenshots above, from my last week's total curation rewards despite my little steem power with a total curation reward of1.952steem.

QUESTION 2

  • WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ISOLATED JUDGMENT AND COMMUNITY JUDGMENT IN CURATION?

Their difference is that in isolated judgement, it intells more of an individuals vote-cast on a perticular post without much other voters. Nevertheless a post can be isolated due to poor content which disengages it from trending with other posts and on the other hand a post can also be isolated because it has not been visited by major curators like steemcurator01, 02 and a an investor like trafalger.

Now a community judgement could be seen as a process where by different voters converges on an individuals post maybe due to the value and quality of the content of such post and probably votes on it, and this will likely put the post in the order of trending one.

  • HOW DO YOU ADAPT TO COMMUNITY JUDGMENT ON QUALITY CONTENT IN STEEM BLOCKCHAIN?

I adapt to community judgement more especially by voting on a quality post with the community in particular and most especially joining in their curation trails that is giving my proxy to different communities for voting.

  • DOES THAT BRING ECONOMIC INCENTIVE FOR YOU? IF YES, EXPLAIN WITH REAL EXAMPLES, (INCLUDE SCREENSHOTS AND COMPARE THEM WITH YOUR ISOLATED JUDGMENT)?

Really community judgement has put more steem to my wallet since I don't have all the time to visit virtually all the posts in different communities, so also by giving them my proxy, I have earned a lot. And also the convergence of my vote with other voters has boosted my little steem power and also my rewards from such post since it isn't a personal up-vote.

THE ECONOMIC INCENTIVE THAT I DERIVE FROM VOTING WITH THE COMMUNITY THAN WHEN I ISOLATE MY VOTE

Taking my instance from the NutBox Community let me I'll State below:
Screenshot_20210320-171700~2.png

Screenshot_20210320-171729~2.png
From these two screenshots we can see that 49 persons has already voted which gives the post a summed vote of 66.59, but when u voted, it rose to 72.2
Let's now get on the mathematical aspect of it.
(0.5) (√72.2) (√72.20 - √66.59)
=0.5 x ~ 8.50 (8.50-8.16)
=4.25 x 0.34
= ~1.45

Now let's see also my isolated judgement from a post I picked from STEEM CHURCH by @lhorgic, we can also see that my total vote cast on the post is 0.02 moreso tge reward I'll be getting from it will also be 0.02 which is nothing compared to when I vote with the community.

Screenshot_20210320-165739~2.png

Screenshot_20210320-165810~2.png
So judging from the two posts my isolated judgement would give me a returns of 0.02 while the community judgement would give me a total of 1.45 which in other words it is better to go on a community judgement than an isolated judgement.

GO TO SYEEMWORLD.ORG, CHECK YOUR UP-VOTE VALUE( AT THE CURRENT SP, VP). TAKE A SCREENSHOT.

Screenshot_20210320-174532.png
This is a screenshot I took from my page on steemworld.org indicating that at my current steempower of 1,223.196 and at my voting power set to 100%, I have an up-vote value of 0.02

THEN GO TO THE STEEMIT TRENDING PAGE, FIND A POST WITH A PAYOUT OF MORE THAN $10 BUT LESS THAN $50(AGE LESS THAN 6 DAYS 12 HRS). UP-VOTE IT. TAKE SCREENSHOTS BEFORE AND AFTER UP-VOTE.

Screenshot_20210320-212942.png

Screenshot_20210320-213128.png

This is my screenshot before and after a trending post from STEEM FOOD that is just 2days old with amount 46.25 that is before voting and 47.51 after voting.

SIMILARLY, GO TO ANOTHER POST ON THE TRENDING PAGE, FIND A POST WITH A PAYOUT OF MORE THAN $100( AGE LESS THAN 6 Days 12 Hrs). UP-VOTE IT. TAKE SCREENSHOTS BEFORE AND AFTER UP-VOTE.TELL THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE TWO. WHICH ONE HAS PRODUCED A GREATER UP-VOTE VALUE & CURATION REWARD FOR YOU WITH THE SAME RESOURCES(SP, VP)? EXPLAIN?

Screenshot_20210320-220114.png

Screenshot_20210320-220224.png

As we can see the two screenshots of the post, before voting, it was 136.38 and after voting it rose to 137.82

From my observation, the one with a greater up-vote, that is the second post, conveys a higher increment when I up-voted compared to the first one with lesser vote value being the first one when I casted my vote on it. The cause of this is the higher number of community members that converged to vote on the second post compared to the first post that has just few number of community voters.

Now a community judgement could be seen as a process where by different voters converges on an individuals post maybe due to the value and quality of the content of such post and probably votes on it,

That's the ideal definition of community judgment.

  • To strengthen better content discovery you curate, when you curate you search for quality content because that will add value to this ecosystem-- Social aspect
  • Now you also want to optimize your resources for economic advantage. The convergent linear reward will encourage you to act like a community instead of an isolated curator- When you act like a community in your curation judgment, the convergent linear reward has a better incentive for you, the linear reward(which is always better than isolated judgment, the sub-linear reward)-- Economic aspect.

So judging from the two posts my isolated judgement would give me a returns of 0.02 while the community judgement would give me a total of 1.45 which in other words it is better to go on a community judgement than an isolated judgement.

Your isolated upvote value is 0.02 and you voted with that associated trail that produced a result of $1.45 as curation reward, but that reward belongs to all the voters belonging to that trail.

Anyway, that is also a kind of community judgment. In principle, community judgment is pivoted to quality content and better content discovery. The curators and their judgment also converge on quality posts pushing the post to the top of the trending page and the post payout archives linearity. From such a post both authors and curators ern significant curation reward.

Yes, the incremental increase in upvote value by curating posts with increasing order of payout(e.g. $50, $100, $200, and even more) further increases on account of convergent linear reward. The community judgment becomes unanimous and the reward curve converges to linearity.

Thank you.
