Hello everyone, welcome to the 3rd week of the Crypto academy, here is my submission to the assignment given by professor @sapwood on the course BitTorrent Speed Wallet.. READ ON!!
Question 1 - What is torrenting, what is seeding in BitTorrent, how does it earn BTT rewards? Demonstrate with examples

Torrenting can be referred to as a way of record sharing convention which is dependent on a distributed network known as Peer-to-Peer innovation. It thus permits immense quantities of clients to associate and share content without depending on a solitary server for downloads.
Torrenting can as well be demonstrated as a way of downloading and transferring documents through the BitTorrent organization, Rather than downloading records to a central server, torrenting includes downloading documents from other clients' gadgets on the organization.
The Torrent network utilized P2P organizations to interface associated clients. Rather than downloading one document from one server, you downloaded numerous bits of records from different clients, allowing individuals to host and share content in bunches.

In summary , Torrenting makes it achievable to disperse a lot of information among users inexpensively and effectively.
Seeding in BitTorrent is a situation whereby a BitTorrent client who has full file a document, is willing to share it with other BitTorrent clients to download.
And as well, The download time rate for a record shared through seeding relies upon the quantity of seeders accessible for that document, meaning more seeders means higher download speed.
A seed is a record that is prepared for download. At the point when you're finished downloading a record yourself, assuming you make the document accessible for others to download, you are going about as a seeder.

BTT known as Bit Torrent Token is a TRC10 token built on a blockchain network and then was later moved to Tron network in 2018.
Some Decentralized applications are fueled by BTT which incorporate BitTorrent Speed, and BitTorrent File System.
Now how does seeders earn BTT;

Seeders simply earn BTT rewards by seeding on the BitTorrent network by uploadng a file for other users to download , the more this activities goes on ,the more the BTT reward the seeder earn and the speed likewise depends on the amount of users downloading a particular file shared by the seeder.
And likewise a seeder get to earn more by seeding a larger file , and as long as the seeder keeps on seeding on the BitTorrent network,the higher the seeder BTT reward gets.
Question 2 - Download and install BitTorrent Speed Wallet? Restore it in TronLink Wallet? How do you secure the private keys of BitTorrent Speed Wallet
On this task, i will be showing how to successfully download and install a bitTorrent Speed Wallet from the website bitTorent
- Step-1 Visit the website bitTorent , then click on Free Download.
Then you wait for some few seconds , then you can see your download start with a file of 21mb, download as btweb_installer.exe file.
- Step2 - You then click to install the file and wait for some seconds for the installation package to launch and you have a page as below. Which you then click Next.
- Then you get a warning page telling you to beware fo scams , which you then click Next again.
- Then it brought you to the License Agreement page , where you get to see the details of the BitTorrent license before installing and afterwards , you click Next.
- Still on the installation process, this page then brought you to the option of installing SpyHunter5 or not , but in my case i choose to install and clickNext.
- Then on the next page , you are given the option to install Avast , which you the install by clicking Accept.
- Another option tool , "Adaware Web Companion" , which you can choose to install by clicking accept or neglect by clicking decline , then you click Next to go to the final phase of the installation.
Step3
You are to wait a little bit while the BitTorrent web is installing.
- Then finally, the BitTorrent web has complete installing , then you click Finish.
- Then right from my deskop , we could see the BitTorrent web application.
On this task, i will be showing how to restore the BTT in the TronLink Wallet app
- step 1 - Launch the just installed BitTorrent web application , then you click on Add tutorial torrent to continue.
- Then on the BitTorrent web homepage , you click on BitTorrent Speed
- Which then being you to the page of accepting term, afterwards you clik Accept
- Then it brought you to a page welcoming you to the BitTorrent speed , then you choose continue
- Now we are at the verge of creating a wallet , which you then click continue to move to the next stage.
- On this side of the page , You are then required to provide your email so as to set you up on the speed wallet .Then you click Send Verification Email
- Then you log on to your email, in as to get the provided account verified successfully.
- Now after verification, we go back to the launch if rhe BitTorrent speed so as to restore our wallet. Then you will be provided with a page like below , which you clickNext
- From this page, you then click on create so as to set up your wallet.
- Then you create a passwrod for your wallet , and its important to remember this password , if in case if lost,it can not be retrieved.Then you click continue.
- Then you are been provided with recovery phrase, which rhe phrase are 12 words, which are better written down and kept somewhere safe.Then you clcik continue.
- On the next , you are required to confirm a captcha that you are not a robot, where afterwards, you then click so as to claim an airdrop to get BTT.
- Then Congratulations , wallet has successfully been created.
Right from the BTT speed wallet , you click on Recovery information , so as to get the wallet keys.
- Then you are required to enter your password to and click on continue
- Then you get a warning page telling you what you are about to do , then next u tick on "" i understand the risk" then you clcik on reveal next.
- Then the wallet private keys is then displayed.
- Log in to to your tronlink extension , you then click on restore.
- Then you set up a name for your account , then click continue and we could as well see the BTT linked to our Tronlink wallet.
The BTT private keys are well secured if they are written down somewhere more private , for example like our personal diary book , which we are so sure of that nobody could gain access to it except for us, which these proves one of the best way to secure a private keys.
And as well, we could create a special cloud storage , which would basically be for keys purpose only and not like our day to day cloud accounts, these purpose was for incase a diary should get lost , we could still be certain thay we can get our file back from the cloud storage.
The last on my list is saving it in a special harddisk , which this also proves safety as its an offline storage, meaning its immune to hack rather only if stolen, this method also proves safety to securing our private keys .
Question 3 - Transfer BTT From An Exchange To BitTorrent Speed Wallet? How Do You Transfer On-chain BTT To In-app BTT & Vice Versa? Demonstrate With Real Examples?
Firstly , i log on to my kucoin wallet then i choose to copy my btt wallet addres from the tronlink app, which i then select to send 3209 btt to the newly created BitTorrent speed address.
- The newly transferred BTT reflecting in my wallet.
The On-Chain BTT are the token that exist out the BTT speed wallet and as well the In-App are those that exist within the BitTorrent Speed wallet
- From the bitTorrent speed wallet , you click on the drop down of the On-Chain BTT , then clcik to send a value of 1050 BTT to BTT In-App
- Then you get a confirmation page before tou proceed with the transaction, you then click send
- Afterward, you get a page telling you your request has been submitted where you are to wait for 48hrs befor the transaction passes through.
You can as well transfered BTT in-app to the BTT on-chain by switching the forementioned procedure.
- You click on the BTT In-App , then you choose send
Unfortunately, the rest of the transaction cant be processed due to the fact that the In-App BTT takes 48hrs before the transaction could be proceesed and as well the leastbof the BTT In- App that can be sent is 1000BTT which i currently didn't have up to that.
Question 4 - How Do You Create And/Or Add Torrent? How Do You Seed It? Demonstrate With Real Examples?
To create a Torrent, You at first open the bitTorrent app, then you clcik on Create torrent
- Then you choose a file you want to to create as torrent and click select.
- After you have selected the file you want to creat torent with , you then click create torrent
- Then we could see the newly created torent seeding, which thus means in this case , we are serving as a seeder.
- Open the BitTorrent app and from the Homepage you get to clcik Add Torrent
- Then you select a torrent file and click Open , which afterwards our torrent has successfully been added.
Torrenting is a way of sharing files with other users on the bit Torent platform in a way that is decentralized meaning they operates on Peer to Peer.this methods thus proves convenient as users can download larger files at an immense speed.
The seeder on the bitTorrent platform are the users who gave out there files by seeding , so as to be shared among other users by downloading.
