Motivation comes easily at the beginning of an idea. A great idea is a powerful motivator. However, the initial idea is only the beginning of the journey. It's only about ten percent of the entire process of bringing a dream to pass. Distraction, laziness, and discouragement are three serious enemies to continual motivation.
Maintaining motivation is a daily commitment. We must understand what gets us going. What starts me? What keeps me going? What will Keeps my team energized? There are positives motivators and negative motivators. Both can be effective in keeping us moving. It takes time and energy-generally much more than we anticipated - to go the full course and fulfill the dream. Visions always take longer than we want. Different things motivate us at different times during the journey.
