Intro
Hello every one welcome to my home work post about the airdrop which is giveaway in cryptocurrency and the one reason why i love airdrop and this home work was given by @wahyunahrul who is our crypto professor.
1). What do I think about Airdrop in cryptocurrency?

Airdrop in cryptocurrency can been seen as a means of advertisement so as to get the amount holders or users basically is for the purpose of mass adoption and also they do it gain trust so as to build a good community.
- it is done just to gather trust in the community called crypto community because it is a good marketing strategy and it always work because every one is looking for that coin that will 10x.
- it is used to attract investors like companies so the plan of the team of the project is to release the project with a giveaway or airdrop so that investors can come in.
2). How can we know about an Airdrop event so that we can participate?
I just learnt this from the lecture and it says that if you want to know about the project you need to visit coinmarketcap which is where you will find those project that isn't fake because for any project to look legit they have to be in coinmarketcap, now to go to coinmarketcap and locate the ongoing airdrop then you need to do what i will display below.
- Go to coinmarketcap and then find free airdrop under calendar like this.
- then when the page opens it should look like this and you would see ongoing, upcoming, ended and participated.
- if you see the project you like then click it and read the details of that project and also you can visit the website to see the website.
It is in coinmarketcap that you will get good and trusted airdrop because for a project to launch on coinmarketcap it goes through a process that will prove it's secure and not fraudulent.
3). Where are Airdrop events often held?
Airdrop events are normally held in the crypto project website but they use social media to promote and also most rules to follow when participating in the airdrop is got to do with following their twitter account, referring and liking but sometimes you will be told to tag your friends, but before participating make sure you check the authenticity of those project because social media don't authorize what is posted on their platform only when it is reported.
4). Are all Airdrop events free from scams? Otherwise, how can we avoid the scam?
Obviously not there is nothing that is safe from scammers nowadays so you will expect to see fake launch pools just to get your personal information and use it for crime but there are many more reasons why scammers do this airdrop scam.
- scammers invite users to buy the project then they dump it later by collecting all the money in the project.
- they collect the private key of the user so that they can get access to your wallet.
All that above can be done by scammers but i can show you a way you can be safe from scammers so that you don't fall victim of either personal identity stolen or crypto stolen with your private key.
firstly you identify the project by checking the project whitepaper because every legit project has a whitepaper and written inside is the reason for creating the project what the crypto is used for.
secondly check the rules and regulations of that project and if it is a legit project then it is that type of project you participate in
thirdly to be too save use legit website to look for airdrops and one of those websites are coinmarket cap because not all project announced in social media legit.
5). Have you ever participated in a cryptocurrency Airdrop event?
Yes i have and it was quit an event because at the end of the day i didn't complete the rules of the airdrop that is why i didn't get the airdrop but the airdrop was a legit airdrop, the airdrop was Solana which was done in April 2021.
In this homework i am going to be participating in a airdrop that i found in coinmarketcap which is called Nextype, Nextype is a gaming token just like TLM which has a good future because gaming has a big audience and crypto audience is also growing so i will be showing you how to participate but first read the rules of participation.
In the participation rules above you can see that.
1). Is add NF to your watch list
2). Follow twitter account
3). Retweet the CMC airdrop event
4). Join telegram group
5). Join Telegram channel
6). Follow Heco Twitter
After you must have done all of that then you have surely participated in the airdrop which all you need to do now is wait for the release date.
6). an example of an Airdrop event that has passed and the airdrop was successful and one more example that has been proven to be a fraud.
The successful airdrop that i had was like last year and it was the Bake airdrop which was hosted by the binance blockchain, it was done prior to the release of bake which is defi project just like how cake was which i miss the airdrop and i was shocked when i saw the project doing well that is why i was like there is no way i will miss this airdrop of bake so i participated and i was given 10 bake which is awesome.
While the unsuccessful airdrop i participated in was a shit coin anyway and why i participated in that coin is because of the way doge was skyrocketing that is why i participated and i was not given any airdrop even after waiting for that long for the airdrop.
7). Look for examples of ongoing Airdrop events, make an analysis that proves that the Airdrop of my choice is good.
I have found this ongoing airdrop in coinmarketcap called Nextype which is a gaming based crypto currency and i participated in the airdrop.

The peoject has a good lite paper which is really achievable and legit.
The project vision is realistic and not just posted to gain attention but it is really their vision and it is achievable.

So i trust that this is a legit project especially after reading the lite paper that explains that the crypto is like an NFT that is based on games.
8). Explain the steps to participate in the Airdrop of your choice.
The steps to participate for the airdrop is simple for those who have the following social media account while those who don't have this social media accounts are going to find it a little difficult but any way this image below show the steps you need to follow.

Conclusion
Airdrops can be really nice to participate in especially when the project is a serious project that is why we will keep seeing airdrops because the crypto community is growing rapid pace and it is just a matter of time before every one is in crypto
