Today I am grateful that I can still take part in the Steemit Engagement Challenge in the SteemitCryptoAcademy community this week. I will try to describe this week's topic. I feel that on this occasion it would be interesting to discuss about our beloved Steemit platform, I am proud to be one of its users.
What is Steemit And How Does It Work
Steemit is a social network or social media based on Blockchain technology and digital currency (cryptocurrency). Steemit is a place for original content creators to create content and publish it there. There is a very attractive offer that is given by Steemit, namely virtual money prizes for site fillers with various kinds of activities in it, you will find various uniqueness and also knowledge that you have obtained and seen before, and of course all this is free, free of charge whatever !
Let's take a look at the history of the establishment of steemit together. It started when two BitShares people, namely Ned Scott and Daniel Larimer, initiated this social media with a new style and idea as well as unique development and launched on Friday, July 4th 2016. It is clear that this is a platform that extraordinary and has many benefits. The company is owned by Steemit Inc., a private company based in New York City and headquartered in Virginia.

Steem coin is an award in the form of Cryptocurrency currency given by the company to users who distribute their original work (content) on the platform. Steem Coin will be distributed to high quality original content. Steem coin will also have a higher value when the cryptocurrency market price increases, as well as when the market price falls. So, this can also be a cryptocurrency value that can be invested for a long period of time.
Steem coin is also very influential on the platform, this is because it will increase the strength of the account when the steem coin is confirmed in the form of Steem Power by turning it on. The more it will be more influential, and the greater the prize that will be redistributed to the owner of Steem Power. Steem coin has succeeded in making everyone more motivated, active to comment, interact and support one another with other steemians.
How Does Steemit Make It's Money
Steemit gives original content owners prizes in the form of Steem, SBD and Tron. The cryptocurrency value will then be received and claimed within 7 days. No matter how small the prizes you get will be shared for gas costs in a very minimal amount. And the platform makes money through Steemit Marketplace.

I took a screenshot of the current steem market price on the coinmarket, it's a pity that steem has decreased by 4.59% which is higher than the price at the end of last month on the 31st of 4.3...%.

Therefore, to be able to minimize losses when investing, we should see the growth of the steem market price movement. I remember when I first joined steemit in April 2021 (2 years ago), and at that time the steem value was at a very high price of $ 1.3025 and it turned out that 5 years ago it had a history of higher steem values than 2 years ago around $ 1.6901, the saying goes that at that time "steem is going to the moon", hopefully we can see it again. 🤩

Of course, judging from the steem data on Coinmarket, the current value of steem is ranked #294. Like other Cryptocurrency values, steem is also a very good coin to invest in. In addition, things to consider before investing in STEEM are analyzing and studying the direction of the steem market movement. You have explain Steem coin but I think you have taken the question in wrong way because the question is to tell how Steemit makes money but not the users.
Then you explained the meaning you got after seeing the Steem chart and the current market situation on Coinmarketcap.
Yes we must invest in Steem platform and not just do trading on exchanges because if users support the platform, it will benefit us also not only the team.
In last, you shared your view on how to improve Steem token offerings that is to apply good strategy, improve security and scalability.
