Hello everyone. It's another wonderful week again. This is another week of Engagement Challenge. The past two weeks of season 2 was awesome. This is the third week.

For my first entry this week, I'm going to be submitting to SCA community, having gone through the contest topic. We are asked to write about "Blockchain in our lives", and hints have given to follow.

So, I'm going to be writing based on the hints given. I hope you will read this post to the end and you find it interesting.

Blockchain in Our Lives

Blockchain technology has been gaining more popularity recently. We have seen how it has influenced many sectors. It has really has influence in banking and finance sectors and other aspects.

There are lots of projects which have come to be as result of Blockchain technology. Those projects would not have been in existence if there were not Blockchain.

Although as good as this technology is, many individuals and some countries have still not adopted it. This may be due to many reasons. We shall discuss this later on in this post.

But I want you to know that, since the creation of first blockchain, there have been mass adoption. Many people have seen the importance of blockchain and have adopted it.

Blockchain is changing everyday life for everyone, what is your opinion on the matter?

When Satoshi Nakamoto, the person or group of persons (no one really knows his identity, whether it's he or she or group of individuals) that developed the first blockchain, Bitcoin announced his/her/ their dream, some individuals didn't see it as something that would change the world.

I believe many individuals would have invested and supported the project if they had seen the future of blockchain and the impact it could make in the next few years from the time. It would have even been promoted if they knew it would be something big like this.

Since the creation of Bitcoin Blockchain, many developers have created many other blockchains which have been thriving and contributing significantly to our daily lives.

It's therefore no doubt that blockchain keeps changing everyday life for everyone. When Bitcoin was created, it has no many use cases, but today, we can see how people have adopted its native coin and how it has shaped many sectors.

Apart from that, there have been many other blockchains which have come into existence and have changed our society. Even some cryptocurrencies which were created with "having no sense of use cases" are now being used for many things today. An example is, Dogecoin", a token that was created as meme token now have many uses cases.

In addition, as a result of existence of blockchain, many people have become developers of many blockchain-based projects. And their projects have shaped our economy.

Furthermore, blockchain has given many ability to influence their communities. For example, I can write and make my voice heard here on steemit.

Also, financial life of so many people have been changed because of adopting blockchain and using one blockchain project or the other. For instance, people like us who use steemit, a steem blockchain project have received support from many which has changed our lives.

In essence, I have no doubt that blockchain is changing everyday life for everyone.

What are the main advantages and disadvantages, in adopting the use of blockchain in everyday life?

Here, I'm going to be discussing importance and some draw backs in adopting the use of blockchain in every day life.

Advantages

Convenience

One of the advantages the adoption of blockchain has brought is convenience. People don't have to struggle some things which they used to do before. For example, some companies or business now accept the payment of cryptocurrencies which has been a great advantage on the customers side because they don't need to carry cash to the shops where they need to buy goods. And also it's an advantage to the sellers to because they don't need to go to banks to exchange cheque. This adoption is really a convenience.

Saves Time

Another advantage of blockchain adoption in everyday life is that, it saves time. Some people who don't involve in transacting huge amount of money may not really understand how tedious it's to balance account and all of that. But if you have ever dealt with money and transaction, you will understand that it takes a lot of time. But adoption of blockchain and cryptocurrency saves time. You can quickly pay your clients or customers in cryptocurrency and confirm the receipt of payment on the blockchain.

Transparency

One of the importance of adopting blockchain in everyday life that should not be ignored is transparency. The adoption of blockchain will not only bring convenience, but also brings transparency. There are some things you will not need to ask since you can verify them on the Blockchain. So, there won't be argument as if the money is sent or not, it will be very clear and vivid on the blockchain.

Expansion

The adoption of blockchain may bring expansion in businesses and other areas where it's being used. Like I discussed earlier, since sellers don't have to go to banks to exchange cheque or making transaction, the deduction from banks may actually be added to increase the business.

Dependence and Control

In addition to the points mentioned, adopting blockchain in everyday life will also bring about dependency. Businesses or companies or individual don't have to depend on banks before they can save their money. They can rightly do it by themselves. And that will also bring about control of the assets; they will have control over their asset.

Having discussed some of the advantages, it's pertinent to know that there are still some draw backs which may come with the adopting blockchain in everyday life. Although the advantages overweigh the setbacks, but the disadvantages is also noteworthy.

Price Fluctuation

One of the biggest issues we still have in adopting blockchain and cryptocurrency is instability of price. There's no way you will use blockchain and you won't have to use use its native token. But, we know the nature of cryptocurrencies. The fall and rise. That has been one of the greatest setbacks why it has not been adopted by many.

Fraud

Another set backs that's worth paying attention to is that, adopting of blockchain may bring about defrauding. Some people have no knowledge of cryptocurrencies and blockchain may be defrauded easily. Although, there's no mean where there won't be fraudulent activities, but I think people must be educated if blockchain should be adopted in everyday life so as to avoid being defrauded.

It's about 12 years that Bitcoin Blockchain has been in existence and we can see how it has really shaped the world. Before the creation of this Blockchain, we knew how our world was, and now we can see its impact in so many aspects.

The impact Blockchain has made on the world can never be overemphasized. Like I said earlier, many projects have come into existence as a result of blockchain. Thanks to the person or group of persons behind the creation of Bitcoin Blockchain.

The first aspect or sector in which Blockchain technology and cryptocurrency has really influenced and impacted is financial sector. When it was created, many things have changed in this sectors. We are all aware of this.

Government of some countries aren't in support of adopting it because they know adoption of blockchain may put an end to what they get through local banks and individuals.

Apart from financial sector, it has really influenced sport and games, too. Today, we see how footballers and lovers games have adopted cryptocurrency and Blockchain.

Non fungible token NFT which is now very common and popular is as a result of Blockchain technology. People today can monetize their talents and intellectual properties through NFT. Blockchain has really been impacted our world.

What of education sector? As a result of blockchain, our educational sector has been impacted. Some kids are now going into developing Blockchain projects as a result of being exposed to Blockchain technology.

I see that this technology has future. It's the future of our world.

There are some sectors that will be greatly impacted if they can just adopt blockchain. But, I believe as time goes, there will be more adoption of this technology and more impact will be made.

What is your opinion about the implementation of blockchains in the health sector? Has the implementation been positive or negative? Explain a use case.

Like I said earlier, many sectors have been impacted. So many sectors have adopted the use of blockchain which has really been a great advantage to these sectors.

To me, implementation of blockchain in health sector will improve this sector. This reason is, Blockchain has a way of contributing significantly to the sector.

For example, blockchain, which is a distributed ledger can be used to store patients data. And of course we know that the data which blockchain stores can't be lost, neither can it be manipulated.

So, this means that doctors or health practitioners can access the data when they need to. If a patient was treated in one country, they can easily access his or data in another country without having to carry another test on such patient.

Furthermore, accessing these kind of data may be useful for further research for researchers in the related field of study. I believe solutions would have been found to some problems if the researchers have seen some information.

If you remember, I discussed about convenience in using or adopting blockchain in everyday day life. In health sector, this is also important. It will be very easy and convenient to transfer records and data of patient. Transferring of records or data has been one of the most tedious jobs in health sector. But Blockchain can give convenience in this aspect.

In addition, there are blockchain based projects which can be developed that will help improve the sector. We have seen how blockchain projects have increased and shaped the sport industries, I believe it can also have impact in health sector.

In this post, I have been able to explain how blockchain is important in everyday life for everyone, the impact of blockchain in our world and how it shaped some sectors. It's pertinent to know that blockchain is really the future. It's a technology which has come to really influenced our world.
