When a few years ago we collected figurines, paper albums and all kinds of decks, like the decks of the Soccer World Cups that I still remember. Today it seems natural that we also decide to collect digital art, digital music, and even lands in virtual worlds.
In recent months, NFTs have become more popular and artists like Beeple have used them to sell their digital arts, such as his work "Every Day: The First 5000 Days; a collage of images from his "Every Day" series sold for $ 69,346,250 million". Which makes it the third most expensive work by a living artist.
But works of art are not the only thing that is being traded, we will also find digital assets, such as NBA Top Shop, the official NFT collectibles of the NBA on the blockchain, of which fans have already spent more than 230 million dollars.
Or plots in virtual worlds, like Decentreland's NFT, the virtual reality game, where a 10x10 Earth can cost up to $ 9,000.
For those who don't know what NFTs are, here is a simple concept:
A non-fungible token or NFT is a special type of cryptographic token that represents something unique and unrepeatable. An NFT token is used to represent objects in the real or digital world on the blockchain along with their own characteristics as well as their ownership.
NFTs are a digital certificate of intellectual property that is stored on the blockchain, and the owner of this NFT owns an asset, whatever it is, and the certificate of ownership of that asset.

Let's talk about Splinterlands.....
Splinterlands - A Crypto Card Game
Magic + Mayhem! - Since the days of the Splintering, the face of the world has been shaped by blood and power. As factions battle for control, primal energies are harnessed and unleashed.
@Splinterlands is a blockchain-based online game, which aims to collect digital cards. At the same time the user can carry out battles against others, participate in tournaments and missions. As of today, it has more than 2,500 daily active users.
The Blockchain Advantage in Splinterlands
Unlike games like Pokémon or Yu-Gi-Oh !, where you owned your cards and could freely trade them with your friends in the OffLine world. Once these games went digital, players lost that skill.
By using blockchain technology, players now own their own cards and land, and can sell or trade them whenever they want.
Gameplay
Once you have your cards you can start a battle. There are three types of battles, PRACTICE (play safe), RANKED (climb the leaderboard) and CHALLENGE (you can challenge a friend to a fight).
When the battle begins you will have to choose a summoner between the Summoners and the Monsters, this will not be in the game but will grant special powers to your other cards according to the type.
By selecting a summoner, you will have access to all the cards associated with this item.
By selecting a summoner, you will have access to all the cards associated with this item and will select their cards according to their mana cost and monster types, strength, agility, and magic. You will have 2:30 min to choose your cards and plan your strategy.
Once you choose your cards, the battle will run automatically.
Splinterlands Land and NFT Expansion Details
In their new update Splinterlands have incorporated the Land portions of land to allow players to take control of the minting of the new cards.
Each terrain is a unique non-expendable token (NFT) represented by a card that shows all its unique properties and indicates what type and level of building can be built.
It depends on the characteristics of the terrain, constructions and updates, you will get different types of cards in the minting.
These terrains will be unique and only 150,000 plots will be available. To date, only 44,833 plots are available.
Each 1,000 parcel Region will be similar to a state within a larger country requiring management and oversight. Each parcel will count as one vote on any governance issue in the Region.
The deeds will be interchangeable NFT cards, just like current Splinterlands game cards, and will indicate the location, terrain type, category and rarity of each parcel of land.
Land can be purchased using Dark Energy Crystals (DEC) the in-game currency, Credits, and Basic Attention Token (BAT) at a cost of approximately $ 20 per plot.
