Brief History
Litecoin is a decentralized peer-to-peer cryptocurrency commonly known as DIGITAL SILVERwhich was developed in the year 2011 by Charlie Lee a computer scientist born in IVORY COAST, at 13 he moved to the US where he graduated from high school in the year 1995.
He later moved on to college and after several years of studies graduated with a Masters In Computer sciences,he worked with several tech companies like GOOGLE before which he came up with the innovation of the LTC(Litecoin) currency.

The currency created in 2011 achieved monetary value in April 2013 after series of intense coding, and got a value of Approximately $4, it then achieved a sharp increase in November 2013 to About $38 after which it dropped and had a ranging value from $4-$7 till around June 2017 when it began to increase rapidly.
The highest noticed value of the litecoin was experienced on the 19th of December 2017 at which it hit $364 per Coin.
Currently the price in USD per litecoin is approximately $262
