In depth description of the Nifty Gateway Platform and it founders

Nifty Gateway is a really cool digital art NFT market place, where arts are displayed, bought, sold and collected.
It is built on top of Gemini infrastructure and it is often run by the organization.
The Nifty Gateway platform came into existence in 2018, and it was launched on March 2020. The platform was founded by two twin and they are Griffin and Duncan Cock Foster.

What makes it even more unique than other NFT market place is the use of a standard credit card for easy purchase of arts even without cryptocurrencies. When bids are made with credit cards, the Nifty Gateway has a smart system that takes care of all the trading for you in exchange for just a small fee.

The market or target it is aimed at

It falls under the Collectible Market because it mainly involves Digital Arts (Usually a piece of Painting made on the computer with software), and in some cases it involves artworks like animations or short videos.

This platform is basically out to make art more accessible to everyone, by teaming up with talented artists and creators to provide users with the very best. And it equally enables everyone to have true ownership of their art.

Nifty Gateway has really helped the average person who might not be familiar with cryptocurrency to make purchases of his/her favourite artwork without having to go through a different app to acquire it.

According to founders of Nifty Gateway, their biggest aim/ target is to be able to provide Nifties to 1 billion people in the nearest future.

Advantages of Nifty Gateway

• Artist are generating huge amounts of money from this platform as it serves as a way of employment.
• Even people who don't have cryptocurrencies can purchase their favorite artworks using a standard credit card.

Disadvantages of Nifty Gateway

• It is true that the platform opens up opportunity for digital artists, but in most cases only famous artists with huge fan baseand exclusive listing deal makes huge amounts of money.
• They have been some critisms, because a large number of people are still trying to adapt to the fact that they are collecting something that can't be touched, and only exists digitally.

What are ERC-1155 tokens, and how do they differ from ERC-20 and ERC-721 tokens?

ERC-1155 is a popular token standard for NFTS, because it did improve on both the ERC-20 and ERC-721 token standards. So ERC-1155 token basically helps developers to create multiple different nfts in the same contract.

There are some few different token standards on Ethereum, for instance we have ERC-20 for fungible tokens like chainlink or uniswap, and ERC-721 for non-fungible tokens like digital art, event tickets and in-game items.
But what if you have a dApp that utilizes both? like a video game that typically has both currencies and collectibles (exchanging swords(ERC-721) for gold(ERC-20) in a game). Simultaneously using the different standards for each type of in-game item could be really messy and difficult, but ERC-1155 solves this problem.
ERC-1155 tokens allows developers to manage both fungible, semi-fungible, and non-fungible tokens all in one contract, and this is far more efficient, time and cost saving, as well as saves resources like gas when interacting with the contract. That's how ERC-1155 differs from ERC-20 and ERC-721 tokens.

Another major difference of ERC-1155 from ERC-721 is that users can do batch transfers. In ERC-721, if you want to perform lots of transfers you would have to do it one by one, and this took out alot of block spaces.
So ERC-1155 came up with batch transfers, where multiple nfts can be transferred to multiple parties with just a single transfer order.

Login to Etherscan and indicate the number of ERC-1155 tokens in existence at the time of writing this assignment

To perform this task, I first went to the Etherscan website (https://etherscan.io/).

• I logged in with my Username and Password,
  

• I clicked the drop-down menu on Token and selected ERC1155 Top Tokens.
  

• The total number of ERC-1155 tokens in existence as of the time of writing this assignment (25th September 15:51 UTC) is 18,525.
  

Indication of the first 5 tokens by volume of transactions in the last 24 hours.

In the past 24 hours, here are the first 5 tokens by volume of transactions

1. OpenSea Shared Storefront (OPENSTORE) = 20,837 transfers
2. 0x54f456b544abfb785694400bcb1d85629b2d437f = 9,852 transfers
3. 0x7a44228e46cdd37a85c0b07c4043b86c11e8c315 = 3,087 transfers
4. Zapper NFT V2 = 1,461 transfers
5. 0xc52e56f5a53ccc02db5503d915497e568c762ebb = 1,287 transfers

Indicating the Hash of the last transaction carried out and identification of the token as well as its smart contract

As of the time of writing this, the last ERC-1155 transaction that was carried out had this Hash (0xb125067e84d3ccfe624380bdd81309e7ad0d0c2a790c6b5f55103f458d1fbbcd)

And the contract of this transaction is 0x7be8076f4ea4a4ad08075c2508e481d6c946d12b (OpenSea).

This is a wallet that only exist on a mobile phone, so I went to Google play store and download the wallet.

Exchanges: It has a built-in access to exchanges, where coins can be converted.

dApp Browser: It has a built-in dApp Browser which contains compound a very reliable decentralized application
Assets: It equally provide supports to most of the leading cryptocurrency assets

• This wallet offers supports for ERC-20 token.

I entered the market, and I discovered that they are 17,475 items on sale in the Marketplace.

In my personal opinion, what is the future of the NFT markets?

Personally for me, I see Blockchain Games as the future of the NFT market. The reason why I see blockchain game as the future is because they are even more entertaining and exciting than artworks or paintings. Blockchain gaming is already familiar with concept of alternate currencies as it allows in-game items to be tokenized and easily transferred or exchanged with peer to peer marketplaces. They are many blockchain games already out there that are making it big in the NFT space, and I believe in the nearest future blockchain gaming will take over the NFT market.

Conclusion

In the nearest future, the NFT marketplaces will be one of the most visited online market because it provides a very important concept to the developing world of today. So far I have come to realize that this will do more good than bad to the global world and as such nfts has come to stay.
