1). Explain in detail what is the Socios.com Platform?

Socios.com is the site or platform, runners on a blockchain, that unites the world of crypto and sports, sports here including football, gaming, and fighting. Called the first of its kind, Socios.com was created on June 18, 2018, founded by Alexandre Dreyfus, the CEO of Chiliz ($CHZ), a cryptocurrency.

Socios is built on the Ethereum blockchain and runs on $CHZ tokens. Chiliz is an ERC-20 utility token that is built on the Ethereum blockchain. It allows users to trade fan tokens on the app with ease. Fan tokens in socios are nonfungible tokens, which allows their holders or gives them lifetime access to voting on certain decisions that are related to the club.

What makes it different from other apps is:

• It breaches the world between crypto and sports.
• It allows the users to be able to buy fan tokens using fiat money by buying $CHZ tokens which are the currency of the platform.
• Users can also hunt for the tokens by playing games.
• The higher the amount of fan tokens a user has, the more influence or votes he has when the team is taking decisions.
• As time goes by, just like any other crypto currency, the value of fan tokens change and users are able to trade tokens as well.
• By simply being active with the platform, and participating in their events and games, one can can win exciting rewards just for being fans.
• It also allows you to follow up on the latest news on your teams without having to go search for them on the internet.

2). What are the effects when blockchain has entered the realm of the sports industry?

As blockchain is entering the sports industry, there are just so many effects caused. Some of these effects include the following:

• Clubs and teams are able to get a new stream of income through creation and sale of club fan tokens.
• The contracts of players and athletes can now be secured by blockcahin backed immutable smart contracts, preventing it from being changed by anyone after everything has been agreed upon.
• Difital tickets are being introduced through the use of non fungible tokens, preventing any ticket fraud from occurring.
• Crypto currency firms can now use team's and clubs to promote themselves, which brings in revenue for the clubs.
• Due to the decentralized nature of a block chain, there is transparency. Thus, all transfer contracts and agreements can be seen by anyone, preventing afraid and corruption while exposing only the truth.
• Another benefit is the ability for players to be paid using crypto currency as can be seen with some players like Russel Okung being paid in Bitcoin.
• It's transparency feature will allow the medical results of players to be made public. This will increase honestly and prevent and possible fraud on drug use of players.
• It will allow for proper management of player analytics which includes their performance tracking, their health data, previous club transfers, and even management fees and payments. This will make it easy to show potential sponsors employers all the data of each player asked for.
• The block chain will facilitate sports betting, eliminating the need for third parties, and allowing winneings to receive their winnings almost immediately.
• Clubs will be able to sell their merchandise quite easily to their fans, without the need of any third parties.
• No counterfeit merchandise can be produced because each will have a digital identityyyy on the block chain indicating its authenticity.
• The gap between the teams and clubs, and the fans shall be reduced considerably, giving room for some fan engagement, which will keep the fans loyal to them.

3). Is Socios.com a good prospect as an investment vehicle? Explain your personal opinion along with strong evidence.

Created in 2018, the platform has been running for more than three years now. It's features are notably one of it's kind. Their ideas are quite ambitious and well founded. But now, how has those ideas been implemented?

They always say the best way to determine if something is up to standard, check the reviews. So I searched for some reviews on Socios.com. The first was from the google appThe app is rated 2.9 on the google play store.

4). Explain the steps to install the Socios application in full and explore the various features in the application. (Screenshot Required)

• Since I'm using an Android mobile phone, I opened the google play store app.
• On the search bar, I typed in socios and took the option that appeared which happened to be the app.
• Once I was sure that it was the right app, I took to install it. It took more than five minutes to download, which honestly felt like forever.
• I then scanned the app using my Phone Master app to ensure it was without malware.
• When that was done I opened the app and was brought to a page where I was told I had to register myself.
• I clicked on the Get started option and was brought to another page. Here, they asked for my phone number to verify my address.
• I inputted my contact number and the verification code that came in a few minutes after.
• Now I was brought to another page where I had to choose a username and input my email address for verification. When that was done, I was brought to their homepage.
• There was a short tutorial on the four top options and their uses. Step one was to buy or transfer $CHZ tokens. Step two was to exchange these tokens for fan tokens of your favorite team. Step 3 was to vote on any polls concerning the fan token you purchased. And step four was to predict the live scores of any match and raise them on the leader board. The steps came in different pages from successive clicking on the next option. Are the last step, I had a finish option rather.
• Then I clicked on the finish option and was brought to the homepage proper.
• I received an email asking me to verify my account so I did.

Features of the app

The application has five main pages namely; Home, Wallet, Hunt, Feed, and Rewards. It also has a profile icon.
a) The profile icon: On the top left corner of each page, there was a profile icon. Tapping on that icon brings forth a slide-in page that shows your profile picture, username, level, and recently achieved badges. It also shows the various options like;

  b)Home: On the home page you have the following;
• A chat lobby icon at the top right corner where you can have discussions with others.
• A Categories bar where you can select the genre of the team you want be it football, gaming or even the NBA amongst others.
• A token offerings bar where you see tokens which are available to to be bought.
• A fan token bar where you see all the different fan tokens and their charts.
• A games and rewards bar that shows the different games one can hunt tokens and the different rewards a user can earn.
• A benefits bar where you see discount off on team merchandise.
  c) Wallet: It shows the various tokens that you own from $CHZ to fan tokens. It also gives you the options to withdraw, receive, top up your account and you can see a history of your transactions.
  d) Hunt: It shows you the daily hunt, where you look for tokens.
  e) Feed: Here you can see all articles related to your favourite teams and clubs.
  f) Rewards: Here you can see all the different badges that you can earn. You also have the leaderboad where you compete for a top spot with other fans.

I don't really know much about teams so I am going to choose $JUV, the fan token for Juventus.
