INTRODUCTION

Before we begin I will like to use this medium to thank everyone in the steemit community and most especially the Steemit Crypto Academy Community for this great opportunity.
Before I discuss about the steemit centralized and decentralized social media, I will like to throw more light on what the term social media entails.

SOCIAL MEDIA

Social media can be said to be a platform created to enable people both far and near to communicate, discuss, share feelings, emotions and other life related events happening within and outside their various environment via an already created social web platform or application.

1CENTRALIZATION SOCIAL MEDIA

A centralized social media refers to a social media in which the users of the social media platform is being managed by an intermedia administrator that foresees the platform. In centralized social media the users are restricted and their accounts have the tendency of being blocked, suspended if they are found guilty of disobeying the given rules.
Examples of a centralized social media platform includes: Tik-Tok, Facebook, Instagram, Wechat and more.
In the aforementioned sites, users have the ability to create accounts, pages add friends and carry out other activities based on the standby rules of the existing social media platform.

DECENTRALIZED SOCIAL MEDIA

In decentralized social media, users has full authority to create their account and users are giving full authority to manage their account. Unlike the centralized system where users stands a chance to get block, decentralized social media is one in which users can’t get blocked. Decentralized Social media are made up of different communities where different users can choose to participate, a good example of a decentralized social media platform is the STEEMIT. In decentralized social media platform like steemit, users can earn money and cryptocurrency from various activities in which the user participate.

2DISPARITIES BETWEEN DECENTRALIZED AND CENTRALIZED SYSTEM

1Freedom of usage is not limited in a decentralized system while on the other hand Freedom of usage is limited.

2Users can not be blocked or suspended in a decentralized system while in a centralized system users can be blocked or suspended if the need arises

3Users can earn by posting in a decentralized system like steemit while on the other hand users can not earn by posting.

4in a decentralized system users can run their account based on their desired rules on the other hand this is not so for a centralized system as users can not run their account based on their desired rules.

Example of decentralized social media is Steemit.
Example of centralized social media are; Facebook, Instagram, WeChat, TikTok and more.

5In a decentralized system users are given unlimited authority while on the other hand in a centralized system users are given limited or no authority at all.

3Which one is the Future of Social Media? Decentralized or Centralized Social Media

After an extensive research on Decentralized Social Media and Centralized social media, I decided to come to a conclusion that Decentralized Social Media is automatically the future of social media.
Centralized Social Media has too many disadvantage over decentralized social media in the likes of; full access control, monetization, inability to set account to desired test of the user to mention but a few. Decentralized Social Media has what it takes to be the future of social media because no person would like to be on a platform where he/she posts daily thereby consuming much data and at the end receiving nothing in return. The society needs a platform that will give them full access control, reward them for their undying efforts in contributing to the growth of the social media platform.
In decentralized social media users have unlimited control over their account, they can create communities that will help them vitally in their daily struggle, where you earn for posting about anything entirely.

4How Steemit Decentralization is better than Twitter and Facebook.

Steemit provides security, better performance, comfortability, assurance and it also provides communities where users can be a part of it and still earn money and crypto currencies. Steemit provides better security compared to Facebook and Twitter respectively because steemit being a decentralized system does not sell out the security details of its users to hackers nor government officials because it is a decentralized system and it seems difficult for any steemit users’ account to get hacked except he/she by any means leaked his or her security details knowingly or unknowingly. In centralized systems like Facebook and Twitter we often hear series of complains from users’ about their account hacked or their details being sold to government officials or hackers to perform malicious activities on such user’s account. With all the above mentioned points, Steemit is far better compared to Facebook and twitter..
What do you say? How do Steemit Social Media Change the lives of millions of users?
Steemit is one of the very few social media platform that pays/reward its users. All the user needs to do is to register on the platform and join as many communities as possible and be an active member, and also by participating in all the achievement posts, doing all of this will enable you earn effectively on steemit. Since the introduction of steemit social media it has being awesome for me, the money I earn from steemit helps me to keep up and live up to standard.

5HOW CAN WE MAKE MONEY WITH STEEMIT DECENTRALIZED SOCIAL MEDIA

On steemit it is very easy to make money due to the presence of many communities like Steem Alive, Steemit Crypto Academy, Campus Connect and many more.

I started making money on steemit after passing through all the registration process, I started earning on steemit after I completed my introduction post on steemit also known as Achievement 1. Once your post gets voted on, You will earn money which will be converted to steem or steem bag dollars.
Another community to earn money is the Crypto Academy where you get to do assignment being posted by the coordinators on that community, wiring such assignments, you will ensure that you avoid any form of plagiarism while writing the assignment to avoid your assignment not being voted on.
