Hello, dear Steemians,
First of all, I want to thank @steemitblog for arranging this great opportunity to give feedback. I have seen that there are a lot of members of this academy have given their valuable feedback posts. I think these will help the academy in future planning. And now, I also want to share my short feedback with all of you.
I have joined steemit about 10 months ago. But I have noticed the Crypto Academy after a long while. I have started learning here in September 2021. I was selected as a crypto professor two months ago on season 5. From this great academy, I have learned many things and started crypto trading.

What worked well with the Academy
The Crypto Academy is a great community where the users have the opportunity to learn about cryptocurrencies and also earn by doing simple homework. The Learn and Earn strategy has been implemented here and it's working very well. I think this is the only platform over the internet where every student could learn about crypto for totally free.
We know that there are a lot of students who participated in the academy courses. So the Steemit team has organized weekly courses by the professors and divided them into three levels (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced). There are also some fixed courses that help the students understand the standards from the beginning. Not all students are the same, there is a huge difference. By this levelling strategy, weak/new students are getting chances to start from the beginning and they are improving day by day.
There is also a great event that is #club5050, #club75 and, #club100 has been introduced in the academy. By following this event the users are being powerful and the stem ecosystem is benefited too. Because this event encourages the steemians to power up more. I'm also following #club100 as a member of this great learning platform.
What did not work well with the Academy
As I'm a beginner fixed professor, I've to work with beginner level students. From season 5, the minimum power up requirement for #club5050 is not only 50% of the earnings but also more than 150SP. But it is very difficult for beginner students to achieve 150 SP in the last 1 month. Even the 500SP Minnow Support program is also stopped. So, I think they should be given a chance to get rewards considering their hard work.
In season 5, I got some students who posted several tasks within a day period. It looks very suspicious. If a user posts several tasks, how could he/she follow the corrections given by the professor! I think there should be a rule for the fixed courses that at most one task can be posted in one day.
I got many reposts every week. A maximum of them are not following #club5050 but those are really good quality posts. When the users are not rewarded for their hard work, they will be demotivated as usual. If the users(not following #club5050) are rewarded with a lower(half of the grade) percentage vote from the curators, they would try to meet the #club5050 as soon as possible to get good rewards. This is just my opinion.
How would improve the Academy for future seasons
The users do not comment or upvote on others posts. When I went to a post to grade it, I didn't get comments from other users. The comment section of the maximum posts has only the grading comment. I urge you all to point out the mistakes of each other's posts and encourage one another by commenting.
We may create a huge awareness by encouraging every user to share their homework tasks on other social platforms. When every user will share their homework tasks with their friends or followers, we could get more quality traffic trained by present users.
Most of the students got lower marks because of their poor markdown skills. I think every user should complete the achievement 4 properly. In addition, we may also arrange some simple markdown contests every week. The students could be skilled by competing with each other. This is how we could get quality content from the students.
The marking scheme and the rewards available for Academy posts
The marking scheme refers to the evaluation of the homework task posts. The professors are using different grading formats according to the course post. As I'm a beginner fixed professor, I didn't make any courses yet. There were 10 introductory courses available by the senior professors. I made a grading format to evaluate the homework tasks.
Criteria | Grading |
---|---|
Presentation Style / Markdown Usage | 1.5/1.5 |
Quality of Analysis | 2/2 |
Compliance with topic | 2/2 |
Clarity of Language / Spelling and Grammar | 1.5/1.5 |
Originality | 2/2 |
#Club5050 | 1/1 |
Total | 10/10 |
This is the format made by me to grade the tasks. I also leave some feedback and corrections with this to guide the students. Then the curator checked the grade and voted the posts with a percentage vote according to the total number. I think this is a very efficient method for the proper evaluation of any task.
What I enjoyed most and learnt from the Academy
I've joined the Crypto Academy four months ago when it was season four. I completed several fixed courses and learned many new things. After 2 months I was selected as a crypto professor which was a great pleasure for me. After that, I was very busy doing the grading. That's why I could not write any weekly homework tasks but I've read all the tasks given by the professors.
The weekly courses are very informative and I've learned many things from those tasks. Before joining the crypto academy I didn't have enough knowledge about crypto trading. After reading the weekly courses, I've invested a little amount in Poloniex exchange and applied some strategies with technical analysis from those courses. And I have successfully got a smart profit from that. This was really profitable and I've enjoyed it a lot.
Conclusion
The above discussions are just my own thoughts and opinion. There is a saying that is spreading day by day in the crypto world is Earn Crypto by Learn Crypto on Steemit Crypto Academy. I wish it will spread all over the world. Best wishes to everyone. Thanks.
