Write the definition of blockchain?

Blockchain is coined from two words which are "Block" and "Chain".

Block:

A block is a container, a site, a platform or a space where informations are stored, saved or safely kept from any third party.

Chain:

A chain is more like a link, a relation or a connection between a piece or set entities.

Blockchain:

It is a orderly, organized and properly arranged connection between two or more blocks. When one block is filled with informations, another block is been created by the system.

• Also it is an organized connection between two or more informations

Characteristics of Blockchain.

• A block is connected to other blocks
• information can't be deleted
• contains more than one block
• it's secure
• informations can be seen everywhere by million of other sources, node or computers.
• Blockchain has three basic elements, which are:
  1 Data
  2 Hash
  3 Previous Hash

How our data on Blockchain is protected from hackers ?

Because a Blockchain contains multiple of Block information, those information can't be changed, it more like a distributor ledger, making altering stored data or informations in a blockchain is an impossible.

Distributed ledger:

This is the process of using independent nodes to synchronize transactions in their different electronic ledgers. This makes it very difficult for hackers to hack a Blockchain

Data

Data is a raw fact collected together for analysis or processing that actually end up been information. Data give us the information about anything we require. Data tell us why, how when and whereabouts of any information.

Example 1

I transferred 10 steem from my wallet to James wallet, the notification sent to James is a set data, the notification i received is also a set of data.

Example 2

When i check my wallet the current amount of steem in my account is a piece data, total amount i receive daily is a piece of data, the Amount i send daily is also a piece of data.

Hash

Hash is another important factor considered in a blockchain. It is a primary key or the identity of a block that uniquely identify a block from other blocks found on the blockchain.

Characteristics of a Hash

• it's used to uniquely identif a block
• it is used to confirm and check the
  quality of an information.

Note: the hash are different.

Previous Hash tag code:

This is a code that link a block that has been filled with information to a new Block that will be storing the continuation/remainings from the information that did not fit into the previous block. It act like a foreign key.
