The Steemit Crypto Academy is back for Season 2.
And we are back with a much expanded team of Crypto Professors.
We now have 11 Professors who will be producing 6 weekly course posts.
The courses will also no longer just be in English - with at least one Chinese and one Spanish lesson planned for each week.
To help overcome the issue of delays with homework marking the Professors will be working in pairs to increase capacity.
Finally to help stamp out plagiarism and other abuse all the Professors will be doing much more checking, and we have also introduced some new rules on what gets voted on by @steemcurator02.

This week Professor @Abcallen is covering types of blockchain, the Steem blockchain and the basics of how Steem operates.
The homework task involves how you would recommend Steem, what kind of blockchain project you would like to create, and what witnesses you have voted for. If you have a reputation of 65 or over you should do a comparison of Steem and another blockchain.

This week Professor @Alphafx is looking at different types of blockchains and platforms.
The homework task involves preparing a detailed comparison between two different blockchains.

This week Professor @Imagen is exploring Initial Coin Offerings or ICOs.
The homework task involves investigating ICOs in more depth including looking at their advantages and disadvantages, and differences with IEOs.

This week Professor @Sapwood is looking in depth at the USDT P2P Market, particularly with reference to Binance and Huobi.
The homework task covers a practical exploration with set tasks of the USDT P2P Market on Binance or Huobi.

This week Professor @Yousafharoonkhan is investigating decentralized and centralized systems and the advantages and disadvantages of each.
The homework task involves answering questions about the advantages and disadvantages of decentralized and centralized systems.

This week Professor @Yohan2on is looking at Altcoins.
The homework task involves writing about Litecoin (LTC), Ripple (XRP) or Binance coin (BNB).
Homework Guidelines
We are keen to ensure that all contributions to the Steemit Crypto Academy are of as high a standard as possible.
While the Crypto Professors may set specific requirements for some of their homework tasks we would suggest all students follow these basic guidelines…
- Title the post with the format - Crypto Academy Week 9 - Homework Post for [name of Crypto Professor] …
- Homework posts should be at least 300 words
- All work should be your own - plagiarism will not be tolerated
- Any graphs, screenshots, quotes etc used from other sources should be fully referenced
- Any images used should be from copyright-free sources and fully referenced
- Homework posts should include the tag #cryptoacademy and any tag specifically required by the Crypto Professor in the first five tags. It will also be good to include a tag for your country.
- Tag the relevant Crypto Professor to help them find your homework post.
Please make sure you send your homework posts into the Crypto-Academy community…
Please check each Professor’s post carefully for any special instructions they have given for their homework task. Once you have completed your homework post make sure you leave a link on the Professor’s post to ensure they see it.
Following all these guidelines carefully will help you gain higher vote rewards for your homework posts.
New Voting Rules for Season 2
To encourage people to do more research and put more effort into producing higher quality homework posts @steemcurator02 will now only be voting on posts that achieve a grade of 5 out of 10 or above from the Professor.
Additionally to discourage ‘content farming’ from multi-accounts set up purely to harvest votes from the Crypto Academy @steemcurator02 will only consider giving votes on homework posts submitted by people with reputations of 45 or above.
If you are new to Steem we suggest you join the Newcomers Community and do the Achievement Tasks there to get to know the platform and build up your reputation before joining the Crypto Academy…

Alongside the course posts from the Crypto Professors, the only other posts in the Steemit Crypto Academy community should be homework posts for the tasks set by the professors.

Homework support in the crypto academy has been reduced by 50%. It is a pity that a crypto academy assignment is not seen as valuable as a "diary day" event. I regularly attend professors' homework. I have written 38 homework so far. Obviously, my motivation to prepare homework has diminished.

Thanks for your answer. Here is what I want to say. Preparing crypto academy assignments is quite laborious. As a professor, you already know how difficult this is. Why are 'Crypto Academy Homeworks' not as valuable as the 'Diary Game' event? We have to discuss this. My Personal Observation(I may be wrong though)
What you see as more valuable votes for Diary event, is not measured purely on the basis of how motivating and how qualitative the diary post is, rather it is based on the overall performance of a user(that includes contribution to the community, consistency(both during bull/bear cycle), engagement, powered up SP, investment into SP, etc).
As far as Crypto Academy is concerned, we are trying to improve the overall quality of the event. You will agree with me that in the previous season even the below-average content have also earned upvote as high as $30, which will be somewhere around 66 USD in liquid reward, good content received somewhere around $45(99 USD in liquid reward), whereas the top 3 as high as $80(177 USD in liquid reward).
No other similar chain has democratized the reward in such a way, just to accommodate all, the voting has been quite lenient, and that is still lenient today just to give an opportunity and to imbibe a sense of motivation for all.
But at the same time, we all have a responsibility to improve the average overall quality in line with the Task requirement.
Please take it as a personal observation, I may be wrong in my assessment.
