Explain the difference between [SP, STEEM, SBD] & [TRX, TRC10, TRC20 tokens](with examples)? Explore Coinmarketcap.com to indicate the rank, coinmarketcap, and circulating supply of STEEM and TRX? Which exchange are you familiar with where both STEEM and TRX are listed? Does it cost any fee for transacting STEEM and TRX? How important is the use of Memo while transferring STEEM from Steemitwallet to an Exchange wallet, do you essentially need a similar memo for transferring STEEM from Exchange wallet to your Steemit wallet?

Starting with a good assignment is a satisfactory way to say your journey and take part in crypto academy. Thanks @sapwood for a good lecture and assignment. I will kick start these assignment by explaining some terminologies that will be used throughout the post

Blockchain: A blockchain allows the storage and transfer of information across computers. A blockchain is a decentralized technology
Bandwith: as measured in bits per second, this refers to the amount of data a device can move per second
Governance protocol: rules and regulations that regulate and control the activities of the blockchain
PoB(proof of brain): A reward to ones intellectual work from a reward pool. In relation to steem, it is called the steem reward pool.

STEEM

Steem is the indigenous token of Steemit. It is a reward to people’s intellectual contribution. You can earn steem by doing any of these activities. Posting , commenting can earn you steem as you can convert your payouts to steem. The price usually flunctuates with the market. Steem can alwo be converted to sbd and steempower.

STEEM POWER

As the word “power”, it is the degree of one’s influence on something. Steem power is the degree or measurement of one’s influence in the steem blockchain. Steem power is a reward from payouts usually when your post is voted. As said earlier, steem power can be gotten from steem. This is done by powering up some amount of steem. Higher sp makes you big as you will be able to get or give more rewards. The more steem power, the more voting power which also allows you to earn curation rewards, hence, a greater influence on the platform. This is most encouraged on steemit.

STEEM BASED DOLLARS(SBD)

This is the stable token of the steem blockchain. This is developed to be on the same parity with the US dollars but sbd usually fluctuate with the market. This is most earned from rewards of steem payouts. It is ussually generated from the steem token and can be reconverted back to it.

Tron is the shortened form of ‘tronix’’. It is the indigenous token of the tronix blockchain. Tron blockchain is also a decentralized blockchain like steem. It was created for the betterment of the other older blockchains. It reduces cost of transactions and other tokens are also created on it.

TRC10 TOKENS

Without the use of the “tron virtual machine”, the TRC10 tokens created making them a token that needs only bandwidth for their transfer rather that both bandwidth and energy.
TRC20 TOKENS

Unlike the TRC10 tokens, these are created using the “tron virtual machine”. They require both energy and bandwidth for their transfer.

WHAT IS COINMARKET.COM?

Screenshot_20211024-210513.png

Coinmarket.com is a website that shows detail of the listed tokens on it. These details includes volume, circulating supply and charts. It tells the coin market cap of a coin.

WHAT IS COINMARKET CAP OF A TOKEN

The current price of a token multiplied by the circulating supply defines the coinmarket cap of a token. The amount of token that are being held by people(holders) is the circulating supply.

WHAT IS CIRCULATING SUPPY

It is the amount of the token out in the open that holders have.

RANK OF A TOKEN

A token that ranks high has a good influence on the crypto space. This statistic can be gotten from the coin market cap of a coin.

Steem and Trx are listed on lots of exchanges but I prefer the usage of one of the most famous exchanges in form of binance in trading then both
Now let’s take a tour through the Exchange :
We will take steem first:

  1. Trade able pairs with steem in the exchange

IMG_20211026_001733_674.jpg

2.Opening a spot to see the window where you can buy and sell Steem against any crypto or token it is against

IMG_20211026_001730_869.jpg

Tron

DOES THE TRANSFER OF STEEM AND TRX REQUIRE GAS FEE?

No, they don’t as they are feeless tokens, so they don’t require fees for their transfer. However, steem uses resources credit units for its transfer, which are computational resource model consumed by the blockchain. Trx uses bandwidth for it’s as required by it’s own blockchain
k75bsZMwYNtze9xHvT6xWCdz7q3QGD35ZKdaPpVrFksWkBQhoLLAkWqVJCpDYK3XASHu1qocN3GaJEPkMUiqh9HyP8k6fer3GYRSk9ivPktxDzz8AoF4nUTvRVnmcyetXMMJav2dkLFqSDn2byaLjd83Um8bDbHAE.png

How important is the use of Memo while transferring STEEM from Steemitwallet to an Exchange wallet, do you essentially need a similar memo for transferring STEEM from Exchange wallet to your Steemit wallet?

Steemit block chain is very transparent and accountable. Identities are as much as important when making transactions. Memos might be used when transferring from steem wallet from anoHuther but not need while transacting with an exchange wallet.

Having giving a lot of effort in making a very good assignment, it is my believed that I have learnt a lot while doing this to the best of my knowledge. Thanks to @sapwood a wonderful lecture.
