It is a pleasure to be participating in this wonderful steemit crypto academy community and it has always been my dream since I joined steemit to be an actively contributing to this steem community and steemit as a whole.
I will like to thank professor @sapwood for such an informative lecture. This platform does not only reward content creator's but it also educates them on Crypto.
WHAT IS PoB?
The PoB is known as the Proof-of-Brain. Proof-of-Brain is basically how the value of an author's content or work is assessed and rewarded. PoB can also be considered as the sharing and curation of an author's reward on steemit. As the name implies it is a test of an author's wisdom since good and valuabe content is required in order to acquire an upvote. The work of every steemian should be an original one and it should not be someone else's.
In a case where a piece of work or pictures is from a different source, it should be properly cited since contents or posts on steemit are rewarded based on originality. Proof-of-Brain is simply a mechanism used for rewarding author's for creating good and valuable content.
WHAT DOES CURATION MEAN TO YOU IN STEEM BLOCKCHAIN?
Curation is a way of rewarding an author's content or work on Steem Blockchain. As we create quality and valuable content or posts on steemit, we acquire steem power (sp) through people voting on our posts. Before a post will be curated on steemit, it is being checked for plagiarism or it is being checked to see if the work is the author's own work and not someone else's.
The more your steem steem power (sp) the more your influence power. So it is important that author's create valuable and quality content in order to gain more steem power.
Some of the things highlighted by professor @sapwood in his lecture as the meaning of curation on Steam blockchain are as follows;
• Read a post
• Diligently check the trustworthy source of the content.
• Does it add value to your life, if yes, then do engage to further dissect and disseminate the information, you can also add your personal take.
• If the content happens to be plagiarized or spam content, then indicate that in the post and let the community know the existence of such harmful content.
• Independently determine how the value or harmful the content is for Steam Blockchain
• Upvote it (if you find it to be useful) using the available resources (SP, VP, Voting Weight).
• Resteem the content to share it with your followers. Doing so will create a network effect.
All this put together is known as Curation
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF BUILDING SP
Steam Power (SP) is an influence power. The more your steam power the more your influence on Steem Blockchain. Steem Power can also act as an investment.
Some Benefits of building SP
• It helps build your influence on steemit and that further influences your chance of getting more followers.
• In order to actively participate in the activities of some communities like Crypto Academy you need to have some amount of steem power. So it is very important to build more steem power.
• Building more SP helps add value to your account and it further helps in community building. So it is very important to constantly power up to help push steemit community forward.
• Building more steem power helps you to get greater voting power when curating content. So to receive a greater reward you must build more steem power. Building more SP also helps you to gain recognition on Steam Blockchain. We beginners usually look for accounts with high SP to follow them, so to get that kind of recognition you need to build a higher SP.
HOW DO YOU EXPLAIN SELF- UPVOTE AS A GOOD OR BAD SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR & WHY?
An upvote can be considered as a like or a vote on steemit and these votes are rewarded with steem. An upvote can simply be considered as a way that steemit pays content creators. So self-self-upvote is when an author of a work or content curates or awards his or her own post.
Personally I don't agree with the idea of self-upvote since an author of a specific work should not be the judge of his or her own works originality. An individual who upvotes his or her own work or post will not take into consideration a factor like plagiarism before voting on that post.
In my opinion it is more advisable to allow others read your post and judge if it is authentic or original and deserves a vote. We all sometimes do post contents that do not get enough votes and it is how the blockchain works sometimes. Instead of up-voting yourself you should let other people be the judge of your work. Peoples comments and votes helps motivate you to provide valuable content on steemit. Primarily, there is no fairness in upvoting your own content.

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT TOKENS DO YOU EARN BY SOCIALIZING IN STEEM BLOCKCHAIN?
The rewards that were obtained in steem blockchain were Steem, SBD and SP, but now steemians can also earn TRX Reward. The TRX reward distributed is directly proportional to the amount of SP earned in the ratio 1 TRX : 1 SP.
CONCLUSION
Steemit is a legitimate platform that encourages people to create valuable content through upvotes. It is also a legitimate and trusted source of income for content creators and it also provides investment opportunities. With the introduction of several communities in steemit, I will encourage that we all try to create valuable content in order to earn more steem power on Steem Blockchain.
