Steemit Crypto Academy | Homework summary, week 8: Risk Management in Trading

It’s been a wonderful final week for Season 3 Steemit Crypto Academy. A total number of 182 homework articles were submitted throughout the week under my course “Risk management in Trading.” We were able to review all those articles thoroughly and as fast as possible. Thanks to everyone that participated. The performance was generally a good one and I believe many of you were able to learn something about this core subject of Risk management in Trading.

My Observations

Some missed out on certain vital information in their work such as the screenshots or images about the first 4 trading terminologies, yet the instructions and guidelines of the homework task were very clear. I needed you to illustrate your understanding of the first 4 trading terminologies by backing up your explanation with a screenshot or an image that relates to that particular terminology. Therefore every student needs to carefully read the instructions and guidelines of the homework and maybe ask a question where they need more clarity.

Setting the Stop Loss and Take Profit is one of the vital aspects involved in risk management. Unfortunately, some students left that out and they got penalized with lower ratings. Trading without a Stop Loss and Take profit is just gambling in trading. Therefore Students needed to show the Stop Loss and Take profit on their charts, most especially on the second question that was about Risk management.

I encountered a lot of trouble while reading through some users articles. They had a lot of typing errors, others had wrong definitions of the trading terminologies. These confused the Buy Stop and Sell stop with the Stop Loss yet the Buy Stop and Sell Stop are far different from a Stop Loss. They were calling a Buy Stop as a Buy stop loss which was wrong. I advised them to go back and make research on those trading terminologies to get the correct definitions and understanding of those trading terminologies.

Suggestions

Students should stop tagging @ steemcurator02 and @ steemcurator01 in their homework articles. There is no need to do that because all articles are visited and curated after being reviewed by the respective Professor. Students should also stop using the professor’s country tag because that’s a bad habit of spam tagging on steemit. You should rather use your country tag on your homework articles.

You had to keep your content focused on the main subject of the Homework task. I expected the students to go straight to the point as they were defining the Trading terminologies but some of them were just too wordy.

Some students have always made errors in tagging their work. Please be extra careful with the exclusive tag that is required to be added to your article. Always ensure that you add the correct exclusive tag otherwise your work will be skipped on review and curation.
