Matthew 7:22-23 says that there will be so-called Christian who would have been healing the sick and casting out demons in the name of Jesus in this present world, but on the last day the Lord Jesus will say to them get behind Him you workers of iniquity and He never knew them
Wouldn’t it be such frustrating to have done so much for the Lord and then on Judgement day, when you are supposed to collect your crown, the Lord says I never knew you?.
Since the Lord Jesus can't lie, you then need to really be sure you have a relationship with the Lord while here on earth. It is necessary you check thoroughly if your faith is genuinely from the heart and not just something that is for show. The fact that you call yourself Christian is not enough.
It isn't about what you call yourself or what people call you; it is about what God calls you. It is possible to be raising the dead and still not be a genuine Christian, because performing miracles is a gift of the Holy Spirit, whereas the Lord Jesus said believers are known by the fruit of the Holy Spirit.
It is easy to get carried away when you begin demonstrating the gifts of the Holy Spirit, but you must pay attention to the fruit if you want to remain a genuine believer. It is good you check your life in comparison to the fruit of the Holy Spirit as listed in Galatians 5:22-24:
If you only read the word of God when you are to preach or teach Bible Study, you are a Christian for show. If you can lead a prayer meeting for two hours or more but can't pray for thirty minutes in your secret place, you are a Christian for show.
If you only fast when the Church says you should, so that you can also say you participated, yet you do not choose to fast for yourself personally, you are a Christian for show. If you just condemn fornication and adultery of people around you but still partake in immoral thoughts in your heart, you are a Christian for show.
