The Lord God Almighty is the Righteous and Merciful Judge who doesn't change. Despite the fact that He can't behold sin, He still forgives iniquity when all the conditions He has set for pardon are met. From the word of God, it is clear that our God forgives iniquity. He does this because He loves sinners, even though the Almighty God despises their sins.

Those who claim to speak for God should very cautious of this. Some religious enthusiastic today can't understand why God will forgive the sins of those who have done so much evil. All that God wants for sinners is for them to repent so that He can forgive their iniquity. Religious enthusiastic are like Jonah who knew this truth that our God is merciful and yet refused to go and preach to Nineveh.

He really wanted God to destroy them in their sinful ways. Nevertheless, Jonah was compelled to preach to them, and despite the fact that their sins were great, God forgave them when they repented. Surprisingly, he was very annoyed with the outcome. Jonah’s behavior sounds surprisingly and unbecoming of a prophet, but you need to ask yourself if you aren't a Jonah in disguise.

Are you like a Pharisees who murmur whenever the Lord Jesus forgave any sinner? Do you look at unbelievers around you with arrogance, believing that they are too below you for you to talk to you or share the word of God with them? Do you find yourself getting angry when you hear that a really terrible fellow has given his or her life to Christ, thinking that such a fellow deserves to suffer in hell? Do you write you look at unbelievers around you as though they are irredeemable? If you are in any of these things mentioned, then you are a 21st century Jonah and you need to repent too.
