Since Adam and Eve fell and chose to love what the Almighty God hated, sin brought separation between man and God. Unfortunately, this separation has continued to widen due to the lust of the eye, lust of the flesh, and pride of life that are still part of man today. God, however, in His infinite mercy, chose to reconcile humanity to Himself by offering His only begotten Son to die on the cross for the sins of the whole world.
He wants us to be His Children and like the father of the prodigal son, the Lord is patiently waiting for a man to return home to everlasting bliss. Who are those called peacemakers? The peacemakers are the people who acknowledge their separation from God, and so forsake their sinful way of life and start to live a life pleasing to God.
Have you made peace with God, your Maker? Always remember that blessed are the peacemakers because they will be called children of God and after making peace with God, you must also make efforts to be at peace with anyone who has wrong you or whom you have offended.
The sort of reconciliation that would qualify someone for Heaven must be in two ways. Forgiveness is also key to good reconciliation. We can't make peace with God if He doesn't forgive us, but the Lord did so graciously. We also must forgive those that offended us for our reconciliation to be complete.
We need to accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior. That's the only way we can become God's children.
