Luke 9:1ff. being adisciple of christ goes beyond accepting him but but being able to reveal this christ to others.when jesus calls you,he gives you an assignment to reach out to souls.
Luke 9:1,jesus calls his disciples together and gave then power and authority to cure diseases.
This is what they call ordination by Christ. We dint call our selves but christ called us to do his will.
Its not all about pursuing this so called worldly treasures but there is an evenly calling upon out lives.
Christ is calling us to alevet of maturity making souls know about him.his word says how will they know if they are not reached out.
