I was moved to publish this article with the above title from the experience I had yesterday, a day I'll term as not-so-good day when I was very hungry at my place of work.
I'm a sales Boy, I work at the supermarket. Because I took just tea in the morning I got seriously hungry at noon. The temptation for me to stretch my hand on anything eatable was too strong, I found myself in a dilemma; pick anything and eat or endure to keep my job . the rest is history.
I then recalled what #Jesus said to the fig tree when he was seriously hungry, hoping to find fruits from a fig tree but unfortunately there was no fruit found on it .

The gospel book of
#Matthew 21:18- 21
and
#Mark 11:12-22
Narrates how #Jesus cursed a barren fig tree .
LESSON TO LEARN:
The Curse
The term “#cursed” is used only once in the two New Testament records of this incident. On the second day, as Christ and his disciples passed by the tree, on their way to Jerusalem, it was noticed that the fig tree was completely dead.

This compelled Peter, who was speaking on behalf of the others as well (Mt. 21:20), to comment: “Rabbi, look! The fig tree which you cursed has withered.”
It should be noted first that the term “curse” is not used in biblical parlance in the modern sense of profanity. Rather, a curse was a pronouncement of judgment upon a person or object Mt. 25:41).
Remember John 3:17 says:. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
Cursing the fig tree was Jesus's way of saying that the whole nation had become spiritually barren before the Lord. They had the form of religion but not the reality. They knew the right words to say, but their hearts were far from God.
For Jesus demonstrating such miracle is for the deceptive believers/Christians. God's people are supposed to bear fruits. Instead, false believers show 'leaves' on the outward showing off that, they bear fruits. Such people will be cut-down.
SUMMARY/ CONCLUSION:
There was a very good reason why #Jesus Christ acted as he did on this occasion. It was not an impulsive act, it was not a misguided, irresponsible gesture. It was a deliberate, highly instructive warning. Unfortunately, the lesson conveyed has been lost upon the minds of many.
HE NEVER FAULS.
Many times the Lord allows us to go through situations that will help us to understand in a practical way what He wants to teach us in His word, what I want to tell you is that God allowed your physical hunger to give you a spiritual teaching, I liked reading your post because he reminded me that we must always bear fruit, everything we do must produce a benefit in his work. A self-analysis is always necessary at the end of our days. Thank you for reminding me that I must bear fruit. God bless you.
