Time, there is a time for everything in life: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to be admitted into a school and a time to graduate, a time to get married, a time to have children, a time to be employed, a time to prosper and be great, a time to actualise all your wonderful dreams...etc. But the problem we have is that we are not opportuned to know God's timing, God owns the clock of all our lives and sets the time as he wishes. And because we cannot see into his plans for our lives, we often get our own clocks and set our own times for the events of life, hoping that things will go our own ways.
A 10 year old boy for instance, may say, I'll like to graduate from the University at 20, get my dream job at 21, procure my dream car at 22, get married at 23, build my wonderful mansion at 25 and so on. This is amazing, isn't it? As amazing as this sounds, if things does not go according to the child's plans, he is most likely to be frustrated later in life.
Am I trying to discourage us from making good plans for our lives? No! What I'm trying to say is this, make your good plans, set your goals and time them as you wish, pursue them also, but always remember to include God in your plans. Why should you do this? Because all things happen according to His timing, and if you would avoid frustrations in life, you must be willing to submit to God's timing for your life.
The truth is, your clock does you no good. Your clock is your frustration, your clock is your enemy. The reason why you are getting frustrated is because of your clock, because of the times you have set for yourself. I think it's high time you drop your own clock and allow God rule your life, this way, you will avoid a lot of frustration and heartaches and life will be more enjoyable. Cast down your clock, cast down your frustration, you have the right to be happy. Amen!
