The Lord helps his troubled people

Reflecting in this psalm of David how the Lord helps his troubled people when he suffers because of the rebellion against God.

Psalm 3
1Many are, Lord, my enemies;
many are those who oppose me,
2 and many who say about me:
"God will not save him." Selah
3 But you, Lord, surround me like a shield;
you are my glory;
You keep my head up!
4 I cry out to the Lord in a loud voice,
and from his holy mountain he answers me. Selah
5 I lie down, fall asleep and wake up again,
Because the Lord sustains me.
6 I am not afraid of the numerous squadrons
They harass me everywhere.
7 Get up, Lord!
Put me safe, my God!
Break the jaw to my enemies!
Break the teeth of the wicked!
8 You are, Lord, salvation;
Send your blessing on your people! Selah

Today the rebellion against God has intensified in humanity, evil has multiplied and men are immersed in their own delights and interests and this really is a challenge for Christians who look at the attitude of humanity in amazement.

David suffered greatly because of the evil of men when they turned against him because of the rebellion against God but God never leaves the one who suffers because of Him or any situation.

If today humanity could understand that in this life the only security we have comes from God, there would be no rebellion against God and they would stop looking in the world for what they would never find.

I believe that those words pronounced by Jesus to the Samaritan woman today is a reality in this world "if you knew the gift of God and who is it that tells you to give me a drink, you would ask him and He would give you living water," he said Jesus to that woman to show her love and mercy.

Today Jesus shows his mercy to humanity to show him his love and compassion and teach them that He is the almighty God to surround him as a shield.

David mentions in this "shield" verse because this was a symbol that was used to represent divine protection and God really helps his people by surrounding him as a shield to show his mercy when he suffers penalties or tribulations.

God was the glory of David and it is the glory of all who love and believe him, so you have to see God as his shield and glory.

We must lift our heads and humble ourselves before our God and not let ourselves be overcome by the situations that can depress us today. We trust our father as the son who throws himself in the father's arms when he is afraid or feels fear.

Our father gives us shelter and raises our head in times of distress.
Cry out to Jehovah and He will hear you and answer you. You can be calm in the midst of the storm and you can sleep in his lap. Surely he will keep your night to give you a beautiful sunrise.

WITH LOTS OF LOVE!
