Buenas tarde hermanos, que la paz de Dios,

(Mateo 7:1-2) No juzguéis, para que no seáis juzgados.
2 Porque con el juicio con que juzgáis, seréis juzgados, y con la medida con que medís, os será medido .

a. No juzguéis, para que no seáis juzgados: Aquí Jesús se movió a otra idea en el Sermón del Monte. Al principio había tratado con temas conectados con la vida espiritual interior (Actitudes en caridad, oración, ayuno, materialismo y afán por las cosas materiales). Ahora toca un tema muy importante conforma a la manera en que pensamos y tratamos a otros.
i. Recordamos que Jesús nos llamó a tener una justicia más grande que la de los escribas y fariseos (Mateo 5:20). En la manera en que algunos piensan, la manera en que unos piensan que serán más justos es si juzgan más a las personas. Jesús aquí reprende a ese tipo de pensamiento.

b. No juzguéis, para que no seáis juzgados: Con este mandato Jesús advierte acerca de juzgar a los demás, porque cuando hacemos eso, seremos juzgados de una manera similar.
i. Entre aquellos que parecen no saber de la biblia, este versículo parece ser el más popular. Sin embargo, muchos de los que citan este versículo no entienden lo que Jesús dijo. Parece que piensan (o esperan) que Jesús mando una aceptación universal que cualquier estilo de vida o enseñanza.
ii. Un poco después en este sermón (Mateo 7:15-16), Jesús nos manda a conocernos a nosotros mismos y a los demás por los frutos de sus vidas, y algún tipo de evaluación es necesario. El Cristiano es llamado a demostrar amor 💖incondicional, pero el cristianos no es llamado a tener aprobación incondicional. Realmente podemos amar a las personas que hacen cosas que no se deben de aprobar.

iii. Así que, mientras esto no prohíbe que examinemos la vida de otros, ciertamente está prohibido hacerlo en el espíritu que normalmente se hace. Un ejemplo de juicio injusto es la condenación de los discípulos de la mujer que ungió los pies de Jesús con aceite (Mateo 26:6-13). Ellos pensaron que ella lo estaba gastando; Jesús dijo que había hecho una Buena obra que sería recordada para siempre. Tuvieron un juicio duro e injusto.

· Rompemos con este mandamiento cuando pensamos lo peor de los demás.
· Rompemos este mandamiento cuando solo hablamos con los demás de sus faltas.
· Rompemos este mandamiento cuando juzgamos toda la vida solamente por los peores momentos.
· Rompemos este mandamiento cuando juzgamos por los motivos ocultos de otros.
· Rompemos este mandamiento cuando juzgamos a otros sin ponernos a nosotros mismos en sus circunstancias.
· Rompemos este mandamiento cuando juzgamos a otros sin tener en mente que nosotros también seremos juzgados.

c. Porque con el juicio que juzgáis, series juzgados: Jesús no prohibió el juicio hacia otros. Solo requiere que nuestro juicio sea completamente justo, y que solamente juzguemos a otros por las medidas que a nosotros nos gustaría que nos juzgaran.

i. Cuando nuestro juicio hacia otros está mal, a menudo no se debe a que juzgamos de acuerdo a un estándar, sino porque somos hipócritas cuando aplicamos ese estándar – ignoramos el estándar en nuestras propias vidas. Es usual el juzgar a otros por un estándar y a nosotros mismos por otro estándar – siendo mucho más generosos a nosotros mismos que a lo demás.
d. Con la medida con que medís, os será medido: Este es el principio sobre el cual Jesús hizo el mandamiento, “No juzguéis, para que no seáis juzgados.” Dios nos medirá de acuerdo con la medida que medimos a los demás. Esta es una motivación ponderosa para que seamos generosos con amor, 💖 perdón y bondad hacia otros. Si queremos esas cosas de Dios, deberíamos de dar más de ellas a los demás.

i. De acuerdo con las enseñanzas de otros rabís en los tiempos de Jesús, Dios tenía dos medidas con las cuales juzgaba a las personas. Una era una medida de justicia y la otra era una medida de misericordia. Cualquier medida que quieras que Dios use contigo, deberás de usar la misma medida con los demás.

🌠 Solamente deberíamos de juzgar el comportamiento de otros cuando tengamos en mente que nosotros mismos seremos juzgados, y debemos de considerar como nos gustaría ser juzgados.🌠

c. Because with the judgment that you judge, you are judged: Jesus did not forbid the judgment of others. It only requires that our judgment be completely fair, and that we only judge others by the measures that we would like to be judged.

When our judgment of others is wrong, it is often not because we judge according to a standard, but because we are hypocritical when we apply that standard - we ignore the standard in our own lives. 🌠 We should only judge the behavior of others when we keep in mind that we ourselves will be judged, and we should consider how we would like to be judged.

2 For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged, and with what measure you mete, it will be measured to you.

to. Judge not, lest you be judged: Here Jesus moved to another idea in the Sermon on the Mount. At first he had dealt with subjects connected with the inner spiritual life (Attitudes in charity, prayer, fasting, materialism and desire for material things). He now he touches on a very important issue conforming to the way we think and treat others.
i. We remember that Jesus called us to have a greater righteousness than that of the scribes and Pharisees (Matthew 5:20). The way some think, the way some think they will be fairer is if they judge people more. Jesus here rebukes that kind of thinking.

b. Judge not, lest you be judged: With this command Jesus warns about judging others, because when we do that, we will be judged in a similar way.
i. Among those who seem not to know the bible, this verse seems to be the most popular. However, many of those who quote this verse do not understand what Jesus said. They seem to think (or hope) that Jesus commanded universal acceptance of any lifestyle or teaching.
ii. A little later in this sermon (Matthew 7: 15-16), Jesus commands us to know ourselves and others by the fruits of their lives, and some kind of evaluation is necessary. The Christian is called to show unconditional love, but the Christian is not called to have unconditional approval. We can really love people who do things that should not be approved.

iii. So while this does not prohibit us from examining the lives of others, it is certainly forbidden to do so in the spirit that is normally done. An example of unjust judgment is the disciples 'condemnation of the woman who anointed Jesus' feet with oil (Matthew 26: 6-13). They thought she was wasting it; Jesus said that he had done a good work that would be remembered forever. They had a harsh and unfair trial.

· We break with this commandment when we think the worst of others.
· We break this commandment when we only talk to others about their faults.

· We break this commandment when we judge others without putting ourselves in their circumstances.
