When an artist plays an instrument, let's say the guitar, it has much more value. We have seen artists sell guitars for prices up to 20 times higher than a regular guitar. When it is in the hands of the artist, great melodies come out of the guitar that surprise everyone. The talent is not in the guitar! It is in the artist who uses it.
Philippians 2:2 "Make my joy complete, feeling the same, having the same love, with one mind, feeling the same thing."
In the hands of the Lord Jesus Christ we are musical instruments that he uses in his Orchestra to give the best concert in this passing life.
It is a privilege and a blessing to be able to be used by Him. Since many do not have this privilege.
Musical harmony has a peculiar beauty…individual "instruments" that play together and create a broader and deeper soundscape.
The apostle Paul referred to the beauty of harmony when he told the Philippians to be "with one accord," have "the same love," and feel "the same thing" (Philippians 2:2). He was not asking them to become identical, but rather to embrace the humble attitude and self-sacrificing love of Jesus.
The gospel, as Paul knew and taught, does not erase our differences, but it can eliminate our divisions.
When we allow the Holy Spirit to work through our different lives and contexts, making us more and more like Jesus, together we become a symphony that resonates with humble, Christlike love.
"If there is something to be proud of, I will be proud of the things that show my weakness.
