When I talk about this topic, the life of the young Joseph son of Jacob quickly comes to my mind and heart, which God showed him two dreams that spoke of the future life of Joseph. The dreams particularly aroused envy in Joseph's brothers, yet when he recounted the dreams, he declared them in such a grand and wonderful way that his brothers could not understand it.
José was thinking big about what he would become in the future.
When we magnify what we dream of for the future, we must do so in such a way that there is a conviction that God will help us to conquer the glory of that dream.
Two dreams confirmed to Joseph what he became in Egypt, governor.
5 One day Joseph had a dream and, when he told his brothers about it, they hated him even more, 6 because he told them:
"Pay attention to me, I'm going to tell you what I've dreamed of." 7 It turns out that we were all in the field tying sheaves. Suddenly my sheaf rose and stood erect, while yours gathered around mine and bowed to it.
8 His brothers replied:
"Do you really believe that you are going to reign over us, and that you are going to subdue us?"
And they hated him even more for the dreams he told them.
9 Then Joseph had another dream, and he told his brothers about it. Told them:
"I had another dream, in which I saw the sun, moon, and eleven stars bow to me."
10 When he told his father and brothers, his father rebuked him:
"What do you mean by this dream you've had?" She asked him. Will your mother, your brothers, and I come to curtsy to you?
11 His brothers were jealous of him, but his father pondered all this. Genesis 37: 5-11 New International Version (NIV)
It does not matter that some want to kill your dream by not believing you. What really matters is how big you can believe your dream achievement will be.
José faced multiple difficulties to achieve his dream, however, his faith in God kept him motivated over adversity.
The problems were very big, but, José did not stop thinking big about what God had revealed to him about his future.
When the fulfillment of Joseph's dreams came, the blessing was as great as it was declared in each word when he told the dream to his brothers.
He became the second most important man in Egypt after Pharaoh and saved multitudes of people from the famine that occurred in those days including his own family.
Do not stop thinking big about what you will be in the future, even when there is someone who does not believe you.
