Hello people of heartchurch, it's been a while since I posted anything. I just hope we are all doing okay by the Grace of God.
Certain experiences I've encountered and stories I heard kind of inspired me to write this post. I hope we find it useful.

Usually, carnal beings as we are, we find ourselves being deceived one way or the other.
We sometimes get deceived by real dupers in our daily lives, and it's not surprising to also talk about being deceived by people we thought loved us. It could be anyone at all, not our romantic lovers alone but our family too.
There are times that we get misled by false information which was intentionally passed on to us to make us ignorant of the real truth, that's another form of deception too. It doesn't really have to be passed on by someone always but from the media and books we try to seek information from.

I can say no one's really free from getting deceived in this modern world of ours and it takes only vigilance and God's intervention to make one free from such shackles of deception.
I'd like to focus a bit on the love aspect.
In our daily love lives, we dream of having beautiful relationships where our partners understand us, love us and compromise for us but the real deal is we’ve pictured relationships to be all rosy, full of romantic experiences and good things one can think of and all that are wrong, mostly.
There are more to what we see and think to be a perfect relationship full of love.

Deception in Love or relationships

Let’s analyze this story of a man and his wife who travelled to the zoo and found a monkey who was passionately playing with his partner, a female. His wife said to him, “What a romantic couple!”.
Then, they found a lion and his lioness separated from each other, the silent lion sat alone in his corner as if the lioness did not exist. His wife said to him again, “What a sad scene without love.”
Her husband said to her, “Throw a stone at the lioness and watch.” When she threw the stone at her, the lion roared to defend his lioness. Then they saw the monkey again and she did the same by throwing a stone; the monkey then jumped up and abandoned his partner to save his own skin.
The husband then told her, “Do not be deceived by what you see as romance in some, often it is a deceiving appearance that hides an empty heart; there are others on the contrary, who show nothing, but their hearts are full of sincere love.”

This is just one story that depicts how love can look like and also trying to tell us how things are not always what they seem to be.
We will always be deceived assuredly if we always take or look at things just the way they are.
The woman made an initial mistake by thinking the monkey was more caring because he was too playful and all and despised the other couple because they weren't together at that particular moment.
She never thought "oh maybe the lion and lioness must be tired from playing for too long, perhaps they didn't feel like playing too" or something like that. It could even be that the monkeys were being playful because they saw the company of humans (which is very possible).
But one thing that made the woman realise the whole truth was a simple experiment and observation.
Sometimes we have to do same, we have to ask questions, we have to test things and people to know the real truth or intentions. We don't just have to make conclusions based on what we see right there and then, no. We will always end up making mistakes if we do that.

The bible tells us to be wise or vigilant as snakes.
This is so because God knows how dark this world can be. No one really cares anymore. People do not really think twice when deceiving others for their own selfish gains.

Do Not be Deceived!

It's only going to take pure vigilance and God's help to be victorious over these daily and continuous deceptions of our world.
I hope you get inspired by this message, God bless you and may He be with us all 🌹✌🏽🙏🏾

Thank you very much for the effort that you’re putting in your work. I want to encourage you to keep it on.

Being vigilant demands that someone should be lead by Spirit of the Lord, and have an understanding of the word of God, to be able to discern what is good and evil. Jesus said, I know the voice of my sheep , I’m a sheep knows my voice.

I’m pleased with your articles. Thanks for writing at Heartchurch.
