The Pilgrim's Progress

Pilgrim's Progress is one of the novels or movies that talks about everything a Christian goes through or should be ready to go through in this life of darkness.
It's got a lot of versions and edits but they all usually portray or talk about the same thing.

I really love the story line for the fact it's almost perfect and tells the exact things that go on in the life of a person who has purposed in his or her heart and mind to serve God in truth.

It starts with a man and his family who live in a land of lies and darkness. The man decided to break bounds and seek for the one and only truth after he begun realising somethings by reading books and other things.

This scenario is just like how we live our lives on Earth. We are with our families, friends and other neighbours, enjoying what life's got to offer us and we don't have a care in the world sometimes. It's pretty easy for us to move along with the rest of world; in the lies, murder, cheating, unfairness, bullying,commiting adultery, etc.
But then, one day something or someone speaks to us; urging us on to search further for more, telling us there's more to this world than what we see, and so that's what we do.

We try to find the truth

We try to find Christ,the Way, the Truth and the Light.
And this is when the real journey commences.
Once the devil gets to know you're no more part of his lot, he will try to get you back no matter what.
The man broke bounds and set off. He met a lot of challenges on the way. Temptations with riches and the goodness of the world.

Faced with temptations

He made mistakes which almost cost him his soul but because of the faith he had and the path that he had chosen, God always helped him, always. God fortified him in many ways and released him of his sins.

The man's journey came along with a lot of challenges and sacrifices but through all these, he pressed on. There are times it looked God had forsaken him but unknowingly, he was more than prepared for the devil.

Temptations from the Devil himself

This is how our lives are when we decide to choose God. The problems will never stop coming, the temptations will never stop coming because that's the only way the devil can get you to damnation but once you set your heart to God and have faith in Him, there's no way He will forsake you. He will make you victorious in every temptation and guide you through all the darkness, He will also relieve you of your heavy burdens and you'll be free as you should.

God will always guide you

The last part was really touching and emotional. He was moving along with friends during the journey. Some died because of their faith but after all the trials and tribulations, the man met them once again after he had made it to the kingdom of God.
This is the ultimate prize that we will receive after all our troubles in this world. This is why we believe in what we believe.

Victory at last!

It's true, some will laugh at you for what you believe in. It's true this world's a free one and we all choose to do what we want. But you should remember, it's all part of the trials of the world, it's all part of the journey.
Just know that once you choose Christ, He will also always choose you. He will guide you till you make it.
