But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.

There are some emotional responses that leads man to sin, either by speech or deed. Most times, the emotions become habits when nurtured over time. It's important to do away with anything that deprive us of the glorious presence of God. One of such is anger. We act foolish and do things that brings regret when we are angry, making room for scattered relationship. Today, the Lord instructs us to put it away. It's in putting it away that we can enjoy the reign of His peace in us. Let us also put away wrath and all forms of bitterness.

Keeping malice with anyone is against the love principle of Christ. It's important to understand that we can't get our offering accepted by God if we have malice on anyone. Jesus said :
"Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee; Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift." Matthew 5:23-24. Thus, we must put malice away, according to God's instruction, so that our services to God will be accepted.

Let us also put away blasphemy and filthy talks against people. Our evil words can't add value to people's lives, it rather destroys. It's difficult to build what is easily destroyed by words.. As children of God, let us put away all that doesn't give glory to God, that we may enjoy His presence at all times.

If we want to grow in Christ we need to engage in spiritual disciplines. That would include regular church attendance, regular prayer, and regular Bible reading. I listen to Thru the Bible. You can download the whole 5 year program for free at thruthebible.ca. It's available in a number of languages. I also listen to Bible based Christian music that feeds me spiritually. We also need to grow in obedience. And that can be difficult.
