The picture above reminded me how time flies. This is one of the way we describe the passage of time. When I looked at the picture above, I remembered my NYSC period.
NYSC is an acronym of National Youth Service Corps. This is a one (1) year compulsory service to the nation after graduation from school. This scheme was introduced in 22 May 1973 after the Nigerian Civil war, and it's aimed at unifying the regions.
The northern students were deployed to, for instance the Eastern region; so as to learn and get used to the Eastern culture to the degree that tolerance, love and unity will be maintained in the country.
During this period, in the year 2018, I was privileged to serve my country. While we were in a seminar during this 3 weeks training, I started thinking about the mystery of time.
I had to flash back when I was in secondary school, tertiary and now serving. Still consumed in my thought, I started writing the words I received within me.
Time is one of the most important asset of life but also the most trivialized.
Time is a regulator of life, persons and destiny, but also been ignored and not taken with all seriousness to many.
Since the inception of Time, it has not stopped ticking. Even in our sleep, it keeps on responding tick! tick!! tick!!!
Any time spent or wasted can never be regained. But I had to think deeply, can one waste time? No. Can one spend time? No. So, anytime we failed to do what we need to do at a time, we become wasted and spent.
Time speaks volumes of our duration on the earth. The absence of the understanding of time by many has led to the misuse of time.
Time is a piece of eternity (forever), that God gave to man to regulate the affairs of man. Time is a mystery that when understood will profit all.
- Time was created by God. No matter how hard many would want to argue the existence of God, it is still obvious that there is a power bigger than man's ideology and Sophia (man's wisdom) that create the universe and set up everything we see without a foundation.
The joy of the devil is to waste men by causing them to do wrong things at a time, doing things that will destroy their destiny.
One of the lesson I learnt in the NYSC camp was the regimented life and time management upheld in the camp. Every activities have been scheduled and planned with time when it will be carried out. It was not too strange that this is the life style of the military, and having been trained and disciplined thereby, it has become a lifestyle.
Everything is done in time and with time. Reason which I observed any time not utilized will never be recovered, and the nonchalant attitude of many towards Time has led to a lot of delay in manifestation of destiny.
Time is a gift and everyone has this gift. How we utilized this gift determines our profiting. Time is not to be spent or wasted aimlessly but to be utilized.
I hope this adds value to you. Remain blessed.
