As i read on, I started to understand what he was saying. His view is that if we are living in the kind of love paul wrote about in 1 Corinthians 13, then love does not even take into account any wrong that it suffers, so he has no need to forgive! This is the fullness of the life of Christ in us. We group into this realm of the love of God by living in forgiveness.
However, most of us feel the offense when it happens, and we therefore come to God and have to choose for forgive those who have wronged us. This is before they have apologized. They may never apologize, but we will have forgive them.
In luke 15, when the prodigal Son was returning home, he could easily have been imagining his father running toward him with some weapon, about to Chase him off the property. The boy had smeared the reputation of the family, spent at least one -third of his father's hard-earned money, and deeply disappointed his father's hopes and aspirations for his Son. Nevertheless, his father welcomed him home with a kiss and showered him with abundance. The boy expressed his deep shame and sorrow. The father restored to him all that he lost.
