So many times we often want to see, analyze , try to comprehend Gods plans by our own understanding, and we forget that our understanding is limited when it come to the purpose of God.
Proverbs chapter 3 verse 5 ''Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding''.
The scripture above says: ''Lean not unto thine own understanding''...(MSB)>>''Don't try to figure out everything on your own''.... Meaning many things we try to figure out God's plans and purpose for our life on our own. Which is wrong,,,if we see the next verse its says: ''Proverbs chapter 3 verse 6 - In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths...
Note the word ''Acknowledge'' it means; To admit the knowledge of, to recognize as a fact or truth, to declare one's belief in... In order words it means ''Believe Him'' which is FAITH...
FAITH is actually the first and most important step you have to take in your walk with God.
Hebrews chapter 11 verse 6 - But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him... See it says: ''MUST BELIEVE THAT HE IS''... First thing that he is.......and then you can fill the gap, eg. That he is my source, my deliverer etc.
At this point you don't wait to see, you move by Faith...which is simply believing without seeing..
Now let see fathers of Faith how they did it;
1-Heb chapter 11 verse 7 - By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith...
Noah heard the lord and moved immediately to build the ark...something he has never seen or heard before, I could imagine the questions that a believer in our generation would ask the lord... But you see he moved by Faith and the end was rewarding.
2-Heb chapter 11 verse 8 - By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing where he went.
Abraham went out, not knowing where he was going to...because he believed God fully, so he could follow without knowing where....
Note the next verse says:''For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God'' (Heb chapter 11 verse 10).
He trusted God so much, such that he already made for himself (in his mind) a picture of a city whose builder is the lord....you could imagine what a city built by God himself will look like...
The second step is Total obedience.... Yes you need it.
Obedience to God instructions is what will guide you, he is leading and he alone knows the way he is leading you to....
Conclusion: Note; Jesus said : ''I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me''.(John chapter 14 verse 6)...
He is the way so all you need to do is to obey his instructions and follow.....
God bless you as you yield to his instructions in Jesus name...
